I have little mini goals and I am only 3 lbs from of 196 by august 1st. But if I continue at the rate im going, im still gonna make my goal by thanksgiving. Congrats on your weight loss!!! -

Went for an unfill today! there scale is different
hopetolose posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I went for an unfill today because over the past week I have been getting tighter and tighter. I am feeling much better. I had some soft mushies tonight and I can already tell a difference. They took my weight there and they said I am down 40 lbs. which I like alot. Their scale was reading the same as mine was at home (but mine was first thing in the morning and with just a tshirt on). So I am wondering if my scale is off??? Its a digital and gives body fat also, so its kind of a nice one. I just dont know, the doctors office is always 3-5 higher than mine. -
I usually cant drink during meals as it will get stuck or go down slower if I do, so I usually wait 20 -30 minutes after.

Yeaaah smaller sizes! booo bad hair! But... youll be rocking those wigs in your smaller little self

I call mine "baby foot" because I have always been able to feel it next to my belly button and it feels like a baby foot. sometimes when I bend over it will poke me. so it acts like a baby foot sometimes to. -
5 Fills...7.5CC's and really cant eat...Need guidance
hopetolose replied to tab1975's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
im at the doctors right now getting an unfill. I was the same way as you and it is getting tighter each day. I have thrown up twice this week. So I am going to have her take out .20 and see if that makes a difference. I think u should go in and have a tiny bit removed. -
This is the bandster hell part! This is where you will need to go off will power until you get your fills working for you!!! I had pretty good restriction from my surgery until after my first fill, but then on my second fill she only put in .20 and I could eat pretty much anything for the next two weeks. I went in for another fill and I am pretty good right now (if not a little bit tight). But you have to stick with it no matter how hard it gets. It will get better as you get your fills. Good Luck!

In need of women's 18/20 clothes
hopetolose replied to Kaye21's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am just getting out of my 18's. Let me know if you would like some. Do you need bottoms or tops also? Alot of my stuff is from J Jill, and is mostly casual stuff. -
I took your advice and went shopping!
hopetolose replied to topazz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats! I hate shopping as well. Not only the trying on but the looking for something. I have to have an idea in my mind as to what I want otherwise I go crazy. Maybe that will change once I have a good feeling about clothes again. -
reward for reaching my goal weight
hopetolose replied to sandiburn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am hoping that I am at goal or close to goal in November! My step-mom and sisters have a girls shopping weekend in New York every year. So I am hoping that I can save up and really go to town on a new wardrobe there!!! I am hoping to be at a 14 by the end of the summer and a 12 r 10 by November. I think my end goal will be a 10, but I would be really happy with a 12. 20 Years ago I was a 10-12 and I thought I looked pretty hot! of course that was 20 years ago! lol -
YOU GO GIRL!!!!!

I was banded on____since then I have lost____!
hopetolose replied to extraonme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on 4/14/11 and have lost 36 lbs total. -
Doodle, we have about the same starting weight and ending weight. My initial goal is 160, but I might try for 155-150 depending on how I am feeling and looking. Thanks for the encouragement. I know I will get there! Its just this is the first really big goal to be under 200. I think after that it will be fine and dandy to get to the other goals when they happen. I am just so happy to be this far at all. I havent been this far for at least 10 years, so I am happy with whatever I can get from here on out!!!!!

i am so tired of explaining to people
hopetolose replied to joleng5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
the big question is, would u have lost this on any other diet and would u be able to continue like u would with the band??? You need to explain to your "friends" that this is NOT gastric bypass. You will lose at a normal healthy loss. You are averaging 3 lbs a week, what were they expecting??? Keep up the great work!!! -
Is there a labor day challenge yet?

How do you deal with in between clothing sizes?
hopetolose replied to jennifer1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually pulled my 18 sized pants off without unbuttoning them yesterday I can fit in 16's pretty good right now and almost to a 14 that will be tight for awhile. I really need to get rid of my 18's because they are of no use to me anymore. They are annoying to wear. I guess we need to look at this as a GOOD thing! Congrats to all of you -

hopetolose replied to hopetolose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think we will have to join you guys. I dont know how to make the spreadsheet so that everyone can enter their information. I think it is done thru google. MollyRN started the last one. Maybe if she reads this she can forward it on to us or start one. -
guys are weird. Mine said I looked like a beanpole and said he was going to have to buy me a new wardrobe. congrats on your compliment!

I guess I cant talk about it anymore!
hopetolose posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been pretty open about my surgery, everyone at my work knows about it. For the most part everyone is very supportive. Possibly a little jelousy, but not to bad yet. Anyway, I have been pretty tight after my last fill and I get stuck pretty easy. have to be very careful on what I eat. So yesterday I was eating a little bit of bbq ribs and got really stuck to where I had to get it out with my finger (i know yuuuck) but it hurt so bad... So I was telling the girls what I had to do (because they asked) and one of the girls said "id rather be fat than have to do that". I was like really? I wouldnt! Its not like I have to do that everyday. Its just once in a great while when it gets that bad... I usually just have to wait for it to go down, but if it hurts really bad, I have to help it get out That is like the only major side effect is getting stuck and id rather have that any day than be big again! -
He wont be disappounted!!! For one he will be excited to see his mom no matter what. There is no way he is going to be disappointed. have fun with your son! My hubby said "your gonna need a new wardrobe soon" lol
-
I wonder if he will notice a big difference??? My hubby is living down in texas and has been since two weeks after my surgery. The last time on saw him was june 17th. I have lost about 10 lbs since then. Cant wait to see him, leave tomorrow morning
