Muttman; Congrats! And tell me how everything went since you are the first of "our local" group to have gone through the process by own of our own local dr's. Which hosp did you go to? Will you give us details? Did Dr. Kozar come into you while you were in recovery and tell you everything was okay or did you lay there in la la land wondering how everything went? Does the band make you feel satiated? Is it as you expected? Would you do it again? What food stage are you on? What are you eating? How much are you eating before you feel full? Is it a HUGE difference?

Hey Red!!! Today IS the day! Congrats! It is going to be wonderful after you get all the gas out of your body so walk walk walk walk walk! And I noticed by your ticker you are down already 19 #'s that is great. I "SUCK" at this bariatrix liquid diet! I get headaches (which ormally I never get) I get weak (mentally to stay on bariatrix) and physically. When I am hungry I am a different person entirely!WOW So I can't wait until my day is here so I can feel full again.

Yes I geocache.. My husband is the City of Sparks city surveyor so geocacheing is his passion. We sometimes spend all day geocacheing. He likes it 1000000% more than I do. We should geocache together, which would be good excercise for all of us, spouses and kids.

Okay are you ready? I want to get a great professional pic of my daughter and I together that I will hang up near my fireplace. I want to wear my plaid pants that I remember feeling so good in way back when they fit. I want to go buy a Jessica McClintock dress (does not even have to be real fancy, but it has to be real cute) I want to learn to love to shop; as much as I love to eat chocolate. I want to drive down the street (like sunshine) and have boys stare! I want my daughter to be proud and not embarrassed about me. I THINK I might want to buy a sexy 2 seater car!! Gail Great work and I even love the reasons you picked the pictures, I am such a hopeless romantic. OH! Take your daughters to see Because I said so with Diane Keaton, I loved it and took my 15 year old, she liked it because we were together BUT did not like it as much as I liked it.

Chris, That is funny that you mention everybody wants Vista. NOT ME! I was at best buy and they have 2 laptops left with XP on them on clearance. I am looking for desk tops with xp on them and can't find any anywhere, it must be xp to integrate with our inventory mgmt system at work. Red is a no show for the last couple days eh? I ate chinese vegtables Broccolli and cabbage today for dinner. YUM! But I am a huge vegtable eater. I am not a BIG meat eater so atkins was never an option for me. So have you tasted the shakes yet? Why don't you put your laptop on "layaway" or offer a down payment or sort to hold it? Do you use your GPS to locate the snowmobile or do you do geocacheing?

Chris First let me tell you I Love vegtables and salad. I love salad with lots of ranch or thousand island dressing. The lemon dressing on top of lettuce just does not have the same texture as ranch. I have no tricks, but am realizing how much of an emotional eater I am. Which LT are you looking at?

Chris, If you don't find a laptop prior to surgery I will let you use mine, it is about 1 year old but it will do the job for you. Just keep that in the back of your mind so you don't rush into buying something just because you must have something for surgery day. Are you spending the night? I am because of sleep apnea

Gail when you go pass out information on lapband.com so you can talk to all the people that you sat with during the seminar. They will take your picture and get you to sign the necessary paperwork for the surgery. They tell you post op you need to chew chew chew chew chew chew chew chew chew your food before you swallow.

Gail, That support person is a great idea, Chris brought his wife, I brought nobody and they did not have a problem with me not having somebody, but if you husband could go it would be great, or I am 100% totally available for you if you want me there. That is the seminar that I did not like the information presented and I really think your husb should go. It is alot of what COULD happen, and I hate when they tell me what CAN happen.

Chris... Do you ever get hungry on the shakes? I am telling you I have to keep slapping my hand because I am reaching for "stuff" I am not suppose to put in my mouth. Thank god my daughter keeps me accountable, but I sure do make deals with myself; telling myself that "just one" nobody will know.... Do you have any special tricks? I am not "hungry" just not full, know what I mean?

Are you going to get wireless internet or do you think the hosp will have WAN? (i think that is what it is~means you can log on through their internet connection) Are you going to Reno Surgery Ctr. or SCORE?

So at this point does it kinda seem too real? Don't get nervous! on your pre op appointment the dr. will talk calmly to you and tell you this surgery is a cake walk as long as you have followed your liquid diet and lost liver fat

Woo hooo is right!! You just made me smile REALLY BIG! So if you want.... you can have your husband stop by my office and I will give him samples of my powder and you can sample before you buy. I would IF I were you get started immediately, and try towean yourself onto the shakes, replacing a meal at a time. What the heck, you only have FAT to lose!! ha ha March 7th that is fantastic!

baby girl; you are NOT online right now but I would have talked with you regarding anything you wanted just to get your mind off of your pain and being home alone with kids. My doctor recommends that we drink 64 oz. of liquid pre and post op as soon as we can which in an 8 hour day would be 8 oz. per hour, which is about 1 can of soup
