Looks good! -
My doctor told me no physical restrictions!!! However, considering your history I would listen to your nurse! Good luck!

Frustrated with Fills and confused

It sounds like your doing pretty good to me!!! Just be patient. I had my surgery in December and I beginning to doubt this "sweet spot" idea. I have a sweet spot for a while but then it disappears and I need another fill. All together I've lost 56lbs and am half way to my goal. -
Girl before you buy any read the label. We aren't supposed to be loading up on sugar and some of these have quite a bit of sugar. I would go talk to the one of the people at GNC for a recommendation.

You need to worry about stretching your pouch if your eating past the point of fullness!!! My doctor asks me everytime I go in there if I'm eating more than four ounces and if I'm satisified between meals...this is how decides if I need more fill or not!!! Also keep away from the liquids while you eat!

I must be doing something wrong

It sound's like you just hit a platue it happen's to all of us. You have to remember that a pound of fat burns 2 calories an hour so when you lose 80 pounds your burning 160 calories less per hour (I know it sucks) but that's why we hit platues! However, the good news is that a pound of muscle burn's 6 calories an hour so my suggestion is to hit the weights! Adjust your calorie intake and make sure you doing cardio too! However, remember to few calories will put your body into starvation mode and make it equally hard to loose weight as to many calories. Get a journal and keep track of what your eating and your daily calorie intake! Most importantly don't get discouraged; just keep at it because one day you will get on the scale and the pounds will be moving again:) -
I've done this before... I'm usually reminded because it doesn't feel that good! I don't think it's the end of the world but you don't want to make it a habit because it can cause your pouch to grow!

Onderland is when you get below 200! And your sweet spot is the spot where your losing weight pretty continous - its the perfect fill !!!

I'm not sure how I am proving CM's point. I was trying to point out that I had lapse and didn't gain any weight. I felt the band was working in my favor because while I made few bad choices at Disneyland; I was still limited in my overall intake ! Anyway, I'm very happy with my band!

Hello I was banded in December 2010! My doctor was Dr. Madan and I loved him! He did a great job and I was so frightened that I was ready to bolt the whole time. The first week was really miserable but then one day it wasn't. I've lost 36 lbs and pretty happy about my journey so far. Okay so a little bit more about my journey. I have four kids (one is my step son). The first three were boys and losing most my weight wasn't to bad. After our third son we decided that maybe we were done. Fastforward six years (I'm now in my thrities) and we make the big decision to try for our girl one last time. God blessed us and we have the most beautiful girl in the whole world. Five years later I couldn't budge the weight. After trying repeatedly; I had pretty much given up. Then I saw an advertisement for the lapband. I was a little skeptical but decided to go ahead and go to an appointment. I had one those rare insurance types that don't make you wait six months and so two months later I had the surgey. In the last week I've been sitting between 198lbs and 201lbs; which is the lowest I've weighed since my daughter was born (whoo whoo)! I haven't been a perfect patient but I'm trying. I did have a complete collapse in healthy eating for a week and half trip to Disney Land; was blessed by not gaining any weight but I didn't lose any either. I'm still at the beginning of my journey but I think I'm getting there.

I'm not sure why you had a such a hard time and to be honest I'm not there yet so maybe one day I will. What I can tell you is that I've lost 36 lbs so far! I can also tell you that I had a small lapse in my eating habits; we had our annual superbowl party, followed that up with celebrating the completion of my Master's program, and then week at Disneyland. I dreaded coming home and stepping on the scale; the surprise....I didn't lose any weight but I also didn't gain any! Been back for two weeks and back on track ! I think I can and I know I will acheive my goals!!!!

So I'm pretty much at the same place as you are! I'm just starting to have to chew more because food is just starting to get uncomfortable if I don't. I can look down at my stomach and see bump in my tummy (wierd)! I would try replacing lunch with a Protein drink! Everytime I get a little extra protein my weight comes off quicker; also make sure you are getting exercise (yuck)! I do mine everyday and I'm tellying you my booty sits higer . Good luck!!!
