CONGRATULATIONS!!

I am on my 4th day of the post op diet. When you start just hang in there. I can truly say that every day gets a bit better. You know what the end goal is.

Congrats to you Lady! Keep up the great work. You are right about not weighing every day. I am too emotional for that. The scale would dictate what my day would be like if I did that. I am scheduled for surgery on May 13th...I can not wait. Me and my Sister/BestFriend are doing it on the same day....so excited. I am thinking about putting my scale away too so that I will not be tempted. Question - You said you were off work for 6 weeks? I was hoping recovery was shorter than that. Just started a new job and I am hoping that I will not be off work that long.

I am praying for you. Feel better soon. Mine is scheduled for May 13th and I can not wait. Hang in there!

Me again....yep I'm still shouting.....I have decided to name my new itty bitty tummy....."Little Sleevie Wonder"....geeze I'm so excited...

Took me a while to post again but YAAAAAY I got my surgery date! Me and my sister (bestie...road dawg...confidant) are scheduled....yes for the same day with me going first and she is right after me. Yes Ladies 2Sweet is my sister....what-up 2Sweet! I am so excited cause Ladies...I KNOW this is going to be really helpful for us in this fight for good health. And I would not want to do this without her...she's my girl. God is GOOD! Somebody hold my mule while I shout!

Hey! I just got word that I am APPROVED for my surgery. No waiting (3 - 6 month supervised dieting). I only have to attend one class with the nutritionist which is set for tomorrow. I now have to iron out the "out of pocket" expenses that are expected and then I will have my surgery date. Crazy as it may seem....when I got the email I was sitting at my desk eating my lunch and it just slapped the taste right out of my mouth . I just dumped my food in the trash...and I am an emotional eater! I am excited and anxious and excited some more. This is really happening - thank God I will finally be healthy again...I feel like crying and laughing at the same time.. Here I go...ok everybody hold my hand...

Hello all, I was so happy to find this post. I am an AA [well I guess you can see that from my avatar ] living in the southern part of Houston Tex. My journey is just starting - I am waiting on my instructions from my insurance company for approval. I must say that I am very excited about doing this. I have read so many encouraging stories on this site....I can't wait to truly start my journey to a healthier me. Good luck to everybody from start to maintenance!

Wow! Wait.....let me try to close my mouth.....Wow! Breekahouse you look AMAZING. Not a sucess story yet....are you kidding! You are a success story with a whole lot of sass added to it. I am still waiting for my approval dangit....That's it ...somebody give me a spoon or a knife ...I will do this myself.....I can't wait any longer...I am ready NOW.

Congratulations TennJenn and thank you for sharing with us. I am currently waiting for my approval and surgery date but I am on this site everyday trying to get as much info on the sleeve as I can. I truly believe that the sleeve is going to be the answer to my weight problem. I just wondered about the long term. Believe it or not I was just thinking this morning on the way to work that it would really be good to hear from the veteran sleevers. If I may ask.... How well were you able to lose weight after the first year? Do you have any problems eating normal/regular food? Do you have digestion problems - foods that you use to eat but can not tolerate now? Can't wait for your pics!
