  1. Not been Banded, yet. My wife is worried, the same topics that others on here have heard, too fast losing weight is bad, stress on your body and heart, etc... Stress from being overweight is just as bad. My physical descriptors: 6"1' 326 pounds 43.01 BMI 3XXL shirts 44-46 pants 19.5 neck I am weird, all my weight is on my waist. My arms and legs are rock solid. I work out 6 days a week with 30 minutes of cardio 3 days a week, and 3 days of 20 minute cardio and 30 minutes of circuit/strength training. I have a few questions, if you don't mind me asking? 1. What is losing TOO much weight? I mean I am a pretty big guy (muscle mass) - and would prefer not to lose too much of that musculature. 2. The tickers on the bottom - are you using BMI size? The reason I ask, is that, I am a large framed guy. When I was at my best, I was 240 pounds and 5% body fat. Those were the days of XL tshirts (tight) and 30 inch waist. My regular Doctor told me flat out I will NEVER be what the BMI says I should be, at 145-189 pounds. He told me I would look emaciated. Thanks!!
  2. Hi, New to this site. I am in the process of getting banded. My first visit is next week. Hoping that I can get banded by the end of April. My insurance covers the procedure, since my BMI is over 40. Anything I should be aware of? How soon after surgery can I get back to working out? I work out 5-6 times a week, a mix of cardio and circuit training. I want this bloody gut off me. I am sick and tired of it. Also, do you have to restrict abdominal workouts? I may never get six pack abs, but I want the CASE off the front, and be able to do alot of the physical stuff I used to do.
  3. I am supposed to meet with him sometime next week. Looking at the pro's/cons of the surgery. I am sick and tired of being fat.
