  1. Hi, I would like to talk to anyone who is at the four week mark. I am returning to work tomorrow. I am a bit nervous about changing my eating patterns. I am having a soft poached egg for Breakfast and Protein Shake for lunch. With my small meals being yougurt and bannanas, hummus or smashed Beans. My problem is at night when I want Snacks. What are some ideas you may have to help me not get back into a pattern of doing great through the day and wanting snacks at night? Thanks
  2. Hi, My doc says the same, but he gave me a 3cc fill at time of banding so he says if I am losing with the ability to eat a variety of foods, that is good. He also states I have to exercise and said to stick with 3 meals and no snacking, exercise and eat only 4 oz. Yes, it is too too hard. I am doing fair, at 2 months post op, 33 lbs down, but still fill I am doing the same as you, dieting and exercising, something I could have done with out the band, but when I think about it , I could not, so I got the band and at least when I eat more, I cannot eat endlessly, so we are still better off. He told me to ask myself at meals when I do not feel the "full", am I really still hungry. Hope things get better for us both.

I need some advise please :(

Hi Nina, Sometimes I feel like I am not losing enough nor fast enough, but my physician states that being able to eat a variety of foods is better than being so filled, you cannot. I know I have changed my eating behaviors, but I cannot say it is easy. It is hard. two months post op and have lost 33 lbs, but have not had the first fill. My doctor left me with a 3 cc fill at surgery. So, I can eat lots of things, therefor it is my head hunger I have to control. I have not had any fast food, nor pasta or high carbs in 2 months. I exercise two or three days a week, should do more but have a damaged ankle, so I do what I can. I sometimes say, well if this is what I have to do, why did I do surgery, but then I think of the times, I ate half the box of bread sticks on the way home with the Pizza and still ate 3 slices of Pizza too. Those days are gone and I am so glad. Try eating low carb foods if you are eating more. Just a suggestion. Keep hanging in there.
