yummy, for some reason the dill pickle thought is really appealing,thanks Gaffer.I have been using pure almond extract in my vanilla Optifast and I like it pretty good.It's day6 and things are going ok.

Optifast weekend #1 was'nt as bad as I thought, My determination was reinforced when we went to a party on Friday night.My hubby is with this hockey team and although I know some of the wives, I only know a couple of them really well.Ok I felt like I was in high school.....all the slim cool chicks at one side of the room and all the rest invisible and in the other corner, argggg. I wanted to scream...WE ARE ALL 40 SOMETHING....Get OVER IT!!! So now I want to go back to that same party next year and really be a little snotty back:heh: . So I drank my Optifast with some sort of evil reslove this weekend and you know it did'nt taste too bad!!!

Hey guys my goal is to get to TO without pulling the "big chicken" and backing out of the whole thing on the 7th.But if I did that after sending away 16'000 big ones explaining to you guys would be the least of my worries,DH would have a stroke:eek: .HAHA, no I'm mostly excited and not just for myself but for all us band wantabees, so my goal for all of us to get through Feb with successful surgeries.

Hey Band veterans, I've been wondering about weather or not after you have adjusted to life with your bands if you still enjoy food as well or does it just become "necessary". I love going out for nice meals or preparing them,Is that over?

Khrissy...I did the Eastern one too and loved it, How many days and which cruise line did you go with? Did you find it hard with the band on and all that awesome food?

Hi everyone in the Cannuck site ,I'm being banded in early Febuary in Dr.Coburn's clinic in Toronto and I'm really happy and more and more scared as well , but I need you guys all to be aware how much help you' ve been.Wow it feels like 3/4 the questions I've thought of you answered without me having to make a call to anyone,you see I've been lurking around for about 2 months (some of you I could have to my home for coffee and I would feel I knew you forever,of course you'd be wondering why you were in this stranger's house on the East Coast..hehehe).Anyhow,I'm just learning this whole computor chat thing too so bear with me.

It's so funny to hear others are struggling with the lieing thing too,I just got home from a friends house where she had homemade spaggetti on(it smelled unbelieveable) the stove....I had to say no no I could'nt stay I left dinner in the oven and had to race home before it was overcooked.....then I had to look at vanilla optifast:faint:when I returned.

Hi Argon,your weight loss is amazing,how often do you exercise? I'm just trying to imagine how dedicated you and the other veterns on this site are in order to get the success you are getting. I keep wondering about my own comitment level.....and how often I've give up in the past and if the band in some way gives you stronger motivation to keep with it. Regardless great job:clap2:

Hey there Dame J,last night I tried butterscotch no fat pudding in (1/2 pkg)in my vanilla optifast,it was ok for a change.I do have to say today ,day3 , I seem less hungry.But tonight I have to serve meals at a potluck fundraiser,that might stimulate the old hunger pains.:rolleyes

Do not buy the Chewable benefibre......yuk, I wish I'd have got the other stuff but I so baddly wanted to chew I thought they looked good...how sad is that,omg the Optifast is getting to me:help: .Just kidding.

Yasmina I'm with you all the way,It's hard to imagine this working for me,I know where food is concerned I've failed too many times to count(I really should have shares in Weight Watchers) but I really want to believe.I really appreciate Yoda,Argon,Cloe and the others for being so "Real",it's so much better to interact with them then some advertisement web page.It is so hard not to feel scammed.I really wish I could have got to Toronto and met Dr.Cobourn in person instead of just the day of the surgery b/c I know at that point it's a done deal.I just keep telling myself...believe,believe,believe:paranoid

thanks guys,this morning is a little more torture then normal simply cause dh invited business contacts to the house for a morning meeting...and I'm making forest ham/apple/cheeses/ and cracker trays....and believe me they never looked so good! argggggg.Oh well I'll and pretend that I'm completely happy with my black coffee :mad:

Cloe,so glad to hear the headache pain is from this I thought I was coming down with something or had a wicked hangover but did'nt remember drinking,so it will end soon? This morning I woke up very hungry and after my first shake today,I feel I need something else,does this hunger subside as time goes on?I hope I don't sound whiney I know we can all see the "goal line" it's just a tough day:( ....time for a walk.

Where are you guys buying the flavorings? What part of the grocery store? I'm going tomorrow.Dame J I'm not sure about your work question,I do know I read on the pkg that they are suppose to be consumed imediately after mixing so that may be a challenge, but I would think just shaking them in a jar would mix them enough. How hungry are you guys, I'm not too bad yet.......but probably by tonight it'll be tougher:cry
