Wow, a 31/2 pound lobster .... and you still lost 30,that's awesome,so worth it.
-
Hey there Susanna from down under, good luck with the weight loss.DameJ and Priscilla ,the anesthesia dude left bruises up and down both arms from the elbows to the hands, not impressed as I'm scared someone around home will notice and expect some sort of explanation, hopefully they'll fade soon. Regardless I'm glad I did this "I think", I still have a few moments where I mourn the loss of the big meal idea but for the most part the smart side of my brain is doing the happy dance. Anyway I'm starting to see baked potatoes and other mushies in my dreams:notagree mmmm.

Awwe but inquireing minds need to know...how was Red Lobster?....So glad your doing good:p

Hey Absteph,I was the first done on that cold Feb morning, what time were you?I'm just wondering if we crossed paths or not.

Thanks everyone for the positive vibes...they help alot!

Hey Dame J, I get ya this week has been tough but I feel much better today day 4/5 and hopefully you will too.My incisions are kinda itchy/stingy but after having other operations I really can compare and these are quite normal. For a couple of days I've had waves of being too warm and weak but I've chalked that up to not eating enough and almost NO protein.Get lots of rest, take liquid vitimins and don't be afraid to ask questions to the clinic if need be.Look after yourself and you'll be rewarded later.
-
Oh, it's chips and dips for me in a heartbeat,I could finish a bag in no time...and look for more!
-
Yes I think that's what he called it, he said my heartburn issues would be fixed now that it's been repaired. Yea,I feel like I got a 2 for 1 bargain:D ,just wish I could take a deep breath
-
Welcome Dame J,what did you think of the whole Dr. Cobourn experience? I've got to think the moving thing must be an ajustment for them.I guess they are unbelievably busy too, they had 4 or 5 people scheduled to be banded on Wed.How many on Friday?
-
When you think of it there's no other source of protein in the liquid phase so that might be why.....or they needed to figure a new and improved form of torture!:heh:
-
Hi Gaffer....Optifast,your not going to want to hear this but Dr.Cobourn's office told me I had to have one per day durring the liquid phase for the next two weeks:faint: .I know I know....sorry
-
Hi thanks for the encouragement everyone,Irishmist did you have a hard time taking a deep breath without pain after your hernia repair?Or is it even the hernia repair that causes this?
-
Hey guys....it's over and I'm so glad to be home and a chance to sleep in my own comfy bed tonight! It went ok I think,as far as the banding goes,I have little or know pain in the tummy area, however there was a hernia issue and it had to be stitched to my diaphram or something and I cannot take a deep breath or it reaaly really pains throughout my chest so I'll be glad when that pain subsides.I also have the gas thing going on...how long does it take for that to go away? All in all I'm glad to be done and home.Rod Stewart was Awesome,so worth it to hear him live at the AC. Hey thanks everyone for your support it helped many times keep me optimistic.YEAYEAYEA I'm Done!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
-
Hey guys see you on the other side,I really can't wait to get this done with although still have mixed feelings about saying good-bye to my Corona and Keiths:rolleyes (I've never really pictured being on the beach with out them)! Thanks-for the big time help you all have been it's helped my comfort level so much....Correction though my surgery is acturally on Wed morning(my mistake)Tuesday I have an appointment with Dr.C and then Rod Stewart in concert, Whoot can't wait:cool:
