Everything on here re: support groups is old/out dated. I was banded on 2/25/11 and am looking for a support group near me (Glen Burnie,MD). I had my surgery near DC which is a little far to drive, so if anyone knows where some are in my area please let me know. If there are more bandsters then support groups in my area I am willing to hold meetings at my house. Maybe we could do a pot luck for all stages of the LB, Pre-op to small meals. Wouldn't that be a hoot. lol

I got banded on 2/25/11 and am now on blendrized foods. I have gained back 1.8 pounds of the 18 lbs lost. Well tonight I talked my hubby into getting bar-be-q, french fries, ribs and slaw for dinner. I was able to eat quarter of a rib, cup of the bar-be-q and quarter cup of slaw. O and about 6 french fries. All of this without putting it in the blender. It went down find with the help off some tea. I only had a cup of soup today and my stomach was growling like crazy. Now I feel guilty. I seem to be hungry all the time will this change when I get the first fill?

I am a little over a week since I got banded and have had no fill, my shoulder pain still comes and goes as well.

Hi! I am scheduled for surgery on Friday the 25th @ 8am. I am now reading how after 2 1/2 - 3 years the band leaks and needs replacing but nothing on who pays for that or if its replaced by the company, etc,etc. Can or does anyone have any info on this?
