My daughter is 25 and loves them too, she likes all the music I listened to while she was growing up, she got to meet Gene Simmons and they put her on the news and she said I have listened to him all my life my mother loves KISS ,(bet Gene was feeling old about then,lol) . Then only my daughter could have said this she told the reporter it was better than meeting the president!! We all got a big laugh out of it.

Kim, I have been to Chattanooga and I have heard of Soddy Daisy. I live just south of Nashville, I had my surgery in Nashville. Well if you have ever heard of Franklin a little town just north of me they say Keith Urban and Nikole Kidman go to a little coffee shop there. My sister used to work for CMA during fan fair and that is when you see all the stars, but sometimes you can go to the mall or a store and see stars it is not uncommon. But I don't live in Nashville , shop there alot and it is where I had surgery. I live in Columbia TN. Have a great day !!

amrdmr, thanks so much , what kind words! I didn't really even have a goal till recently, just did the best I could and didn't sweat the small stuff. I sometimes stall but then I lose a bunch then stop again so I never know what the scale will say . As far as the hormone thing going on with you, the same thing is happening to me, my body is freaking out in that department. Had to go for a biopsy yesterday, to find out what is up with me. Kinda comforting to know it may be due to losing weight, and not something more serious.(Keeping my fingers crossed) Have a great day!!

A bmi in the 20's is a good feeling when I started at 40. It really freaked me out when I looked up 199 for my height-5ft9 and it said : slightly overweight! I almost fell out of my chair! I hollered at my husband I am no longer obese! I am just plain fat!!!! I remember when I became obese instead of morbidly obese I went to work and anonunced Hey y'all I am obese!! I worked with men, they all cracked up. They have been so supportive, everyone knew exactly what I weighed everyday and they were cheering me on. I got laid off and I miss them so much. Well it varies from person to person, it depends alot on food choices and how committed you are, in my opinion. Since you can still eat junk sometimes it is hard not to when it goes down so easy. But when I was working ,( laid off due to Saturn retooling) it was alot easier, I was lifting car seats all day but now that I'm home all the time it is not coming off as fast. Some off my loss was waiting to be approved and the liquid diet before surgery. I have heard it is only 1 week now instead of two. Which is a blessing, I thought I would starve!! But once you get restiction you don't want to eat , sometimes I forget. You will do well , if you have been trying for 2 years you must really want this and alot of it will depend on your mindset, when you are ready in your head you will do it. Have a great day!! Pick up a book they have at the docs office in all the rooms and it will give you alot of good info.

Thanks, I am trying to do well but I could probably do better. I need to exercise more. I don't know about any changes either was there a few weeks ago (Southern Hills ) and it was the same. I have never been to the Baptist office but had surgery at Baptist hospital. I am sorry you are having trouble with insurance I griped about mine and it didn't take but a couple of months. We had 5 people at work to have it done. Good Luck and holler at me if you have any questions or anything, would be glad to try and answer them.

I did that I would get a fill and it will be real tight, then get loose. But the last fill I got was too tight and it was horrible, it didn't get loose, I finally had to go for a slight unfill and it made a world of difference. So I think when you finally find a comfortable spot it will stay awhile. That is just my opinion, it may not happen for everyone.

Well I have one pound to go but that one pound won't go! It is driving me crazy! I have wanted to see a 1 in front of my weight and my body is not willing to give up the one pound!Oh well good luck to all of you and maybe next week I will make it!

I have , just a couple of weeks ago and it has made a huge difference I should have never waited as long as I did. I am as we speak eating steak for the first time since being banded in December 06, and it is doing fine (knocking on wood). It was no big deal and I will never wait again .
