The only time I have to sip is cold stuff in the morning, if I want something cold and I try to chug it, my band says" hell no it wont go",lol and sometimes it will come back up, usually chocolate milk, but later on in the day I am fine I can drink normally.

When I got to the point I could only eat soup I was too tight, I was afraid to eat in public and stayed sick if I tried to eat good food, which lead to being swollen which made me tighter. I had a small unfill and did liquids and Zantac for a few days and I am happy to say I ate steak at OCharleys, no worries, and had chicken last night no problems, and I am losing again, so if you can only eat soup you might be so irritated it has made you tight, you have to be able to eat real food so think about a small unfill , I am so glad I got one. Good luck in whatever you decide, but you cant go on not eating right you want to stay healthy so you can live your new life coming!

From a 10 to a 9, my feet even look different, I wear toe rings now , something I would have never done before, wouldnt have wanted to call any attention to my fat feet,lol

Wow Mandy that would suck, I didnt have to have an unfill but I will tell you that I was super tight after surgery due to swelling and still gained weight but lost it back. It has been a month or so and I am really still a little swelled, my surgery wasnt as extensive as yours but I went thru alot and went thru alot of biopsies and the swelling really does affect how tight I am. So as much as it may suck it may have been a blessing in disguise. Just food for thought.

Right after I had surgery, about 2 weeks I guess I fell asleep and when I got up I went to clean up the dinner dishes, I was putting away the meatballs and wasnt thinking,(still sleepy) and popped one in my mouth and chewed a little and swallowed,OMG it got stuck and I thought I was going to die and so did my husband,it took 10 minutes to come unstuck and I will never forget it as long as I live. Taught me to chew my food,lol.

I agree with "Morbid Obesity has alot of complications too". Have you noticed how many nurses are on this board? That has got to tell you something if they are getting it done themselves. I am much healthier now that I have lost weight. Good luck with your journey, and you are doing this for yourself not your friends so let them talk, people will do that no matter what so smile and keep your chin up and when you are feeling and looking good she will be eating crow!

It cracks me up when people don't recognize me and the look on their face when I tell them who I am, or if they are trying to be nice and don't say they don't know and I can tell and I play with them till they figure it out and the light bulb goes off above their head, it is so funny. I never in a million years thought I would be able to lose enough weight my ex mother in law had no clue who I was, or a guy I worked with for 16 years that had quit and hadnt seen me since surgery was asking people who I was,lol , cracked me up! I love my band!

Grace I gained 4 pounds in the first 3 weeks! My dr gives fills in 3 weeks after surgery, then I started losing but dont get discouraged it will happen!

I have lost 84 and have gone from a 10 to 9 and they look much smaller, didn't think that would happen but is so cool, wearing cute shoes now cuz I now have girl feet,lol. Rings have went from 10 to 8, which is also a plus!

I remember the first time that a booth was not scary for me and my boobs were not going to be on the table, it was wonderful, now I ask for a booth!! I would do a Toyota jump (It's a great feeling) but uh no, not yet,lol

Hi Becky, Dr Morton is at Baptist and I think he is there for good, they do fills at Southern Hills but the nurse does them, and they will be at Baptist only soon from what I understood. I hate that Southern Hills is easier to get to for me, but I doubt they really care,lol. Good luck on your surgery!

Mine has changed for the better, because I feel better, I have had people I have known for years not recognize me (which is a hoot) so funny to see their face when they realize who I am. I can go in a store and find cute clothes not clothes that look like an old womans or a moo moo. I have twice the stamina I had before and that is really nice, I can walk and walk and not breathe hard, high blood pressure gone, asthma almost gone. It really is a good change . Good luck! I wasn't scared till I was in the hospital ready for surgery then I started crying telling my husband I wanted to go home, I am not afraid of surgery, I have had to have alot of them, I think I was scared to commit to the lap band , thank the Lord I didn't go home,lol!

HI Laurend, glad to see you are doing good! Yeah dial would drive me nuts, I am so spoiled by cable. Well got to get ready for my yard sale in the morning, selling all my fat clothes, or fatter clothes, it is not like I am skinny now,lol. What a job , I would rather take a beating but I have to get rid of some of this stuff,I keep buying more clothes and I have no where else to hang them, husband is gonna shoot me if I don't do something,lol Good to see you!

Kim , Thanks for the vote of confidence, I needed it! I think my biggest problem is sweets, getting back into old habits. I am going to try to eat better . We have alot of vegetables from the garden and they are really good, but it is so much easier to grab a popsicle, I need to learn discipline. lotta stress around here lately , I just need to take time for myself. I found out the other day I didnt have cancer after a surgery and 5 biopsies, so needless to say I have been freaked out for awhile, now I can get back into life. Thanks for your help!

We don't have our actual weight on the license here in TN but you have to put it down when you fill out your papers ,this time the lady that has to put it in the computer (while I stand right in front her) won't say " yeah right" when she types it in! , lol

I just saw another post that was about Drivers license and she said it was the first time she actually weighed less than what was on her drivers license, and I realized oh man me too alot less and the picture on my license looks like it could be my Mom, my birthday is next month and (I have to get a new one) I could keep my picture but no way, I have worked hard to get it I am gonna smile for the camera!! Congrats on your NSV, the difference is amazing!
