Dec 9th my daughter got the lapband surgery with the spider lap band surgical technique. She complained of pain and the band was removed on Dec 11. She was badly burned inside with electrosurgical burns. She was admitted into the ICU for the next 30 days and then left the hospital on Jan 19, on an outpatient status for wound vac changes and she still has an unidentified ordorless drainage. The JP drains have been removed and she is now getting two injections a day of octreotide. These injections will hopefully clear the unidentified liquid in her body. The spider lapband is manufactured by TranEnterix and is used with laproscopic surgery. This would include but not be limited to the lapband.
