    New band

Hi my name is Jeni and i live in Australia, Melbourne. I started my lap journey in 2009. My surgery was performed on 10th Sept 2010 and I'm happy to say that it went wonderfully. Dr Ahmad Aly was my surgeon and he was wonderful. He was very matter of fact, answered all my questions and made sure I were always comfortable. Not to forget Shelley & Tracey, Surgery went well and i went home that next day. I was on liquid diet for 6 weeks and that i must say was tough, moved onto pureed foods then slowly went on to normal foods. I was weighed the day of surgery at 101 kilo's and i am now 89 kilo's and doing well. I have had many experiences that may differ to others and i would be very interested in hearing your experience tho. I have found sticking to rules you cant go to wrong. chew chew chew lol lol lol, In the last 2 months or so i have had an up set stomach which appears and then disappears on the third day. What i am lacking is motivation for the exercise "naughty". I am looking forward to chatting and learning from other bandies about there experiences so feel free to chat.

Stomach upset is it related to Lapband procedure

Margaret, i was just reading your post. I do to have same issues, comes and goes i have only had my band for 5 months now. I have this feeling in my stomach like a sickness that comes two to three days and then goes again. I to thought it was due to foods my stomach couldn't handle, its not the case. I feel lethargic want to sleep for an hour or two. Put off my food. I did think there was an issue with my port, tube, then band..So many things were going through my head. then i come good again. Very strange. If anyone does have an answer tell me to please.

  4. Some people drift through their entire life. They do it one day at a time, one week at a time, one month at a time. It happens so gradually they are unaware of how their lives are slipping away until it's too late. I don't want that to be me..Thanks to Lap band..
