I cant wait to get my surgery done.. Im so done with my crappy health. But question... After surgery, is it way hard to only eat soup and liquids since you dont get your first fill for a couple weeks? Im really nervous of getting way hungry... Thanks

Thank you all so much! You've helped alot. I start my pre-op on the March 17th (The day before I go to Vegas, I might add ) Haha but I cant wait. I am pretty strong mental wise so I think I can beat the hunger. And all your food ideas are going to help also. Thanks, muah!

I am scheduled for for March 31st! So excited! I havent got my pre-op diet yet but I start it on the 17th (the day before I leave to Vegas.. ) But hopefully the pre-op diet isnt too harsh... I dont know how ill make it with only protein shakes haha.

Hey all... So I just wanted to vent a bit about my emotional struggle lol... I have been looking into the LapBand for a while now, a little over a year, and the last couple months Ive gotten serious about it.... Went to the Dr. and got a packet and got so excited. My best friend got it done and she looks great, and she's doing fine on the payments. My insurance will not cover the surgery, which sucks, but meh, I was willing to pay the monthly payments for this life change. I was scanning through the pamplet for the loan company who finances the surgery and WOW. The interest rate is insanely high... My excitement started to turn into dissapointment. My husband keeps telling me that we'll find a way to do it somehow.... Does anyone know if you have someone co-sign with you on your loan if it lowers the payments or rate at all? My mom is willing to do that... Sorry I know this is me babbling, but I needed some support... Thanks for listening.... Kayla

Yes we're still going to appeal but they said that its very rare... But definitely worth a shot, Im planning on self pay anyway, so if the insurance approves, it will just be a nice little surprise haha Im glad you have everything going now... Good luck with everything. I cant wait to start this journey and its so nice to have a support group to talk to! Your all so sweet.

I am so in the same boat as you girl! My insurance gave me the negative on whether they'll cover me, but they wont. So Im working w/ financing companies to find a payment that I can afford, but Im going crazy waiting. Good luck to you, and if you ever need to vent, vent away, We're here!

Im sorry sweetie! I felt that for a couple days but we found a financing company who works w/ you on payments, because Im a self pay patient. Maybe look into it? I will be sending good thoughts and blessings your way

Ponderer, Ya, the rate was almost 15% on the one they offered, it was insane! But I looked into my bank and credit union, but they only offer signature loans, and the signature loans are only offered up to $5,000. My mom is willing to co-sign with me, so not sure yet how that can help. Im going in next week to get qualified and all that jazz, so hoping it will work out. Im so crazy stressed about it. I want this surgery so much, its been an emotional roller coaster! But thanks for your advice, I appreciate it very much

Thank you all so much, this has definitely helped... Ive looked into some credit unions and they recommended their signature loans, but you can only get signature loans for $5,000..Lame lol. But Im still looking. Thank you And Dave, I have looked into Mexico a bit, still deciding. Thanks!
