My surgery is March 8th...less than one week away! I am excited, nervous and can't wait to start this journey. I go tomorrow for Pre-Op testing and a patient education class with the hospital Bariatric Nurse Coordinator. I have been on information overload though....I have to stop reading!!! My surgery is scheduled for March 8th too! I was not put on a preop diet either - they told me liquids only the day before surgery and nothing the day of. I have been driving myself crazy reading everyone's different diets and Dr.'s orders. I've finally realized to just follow what my Doctor says. I feel confident in him and have to stop reading so much. Sometimes it is information overload! -
Confused about pre-op diet

My doctor does not mandate a Preop diet. He did not even bring it up to me. I brought it up during our 2nd appointment after reading about others experiences. He says in his experience it deters to manyy people from not getting the band at all. -
