    Good Morning All, Nov. 8th WEIGH IN...... 195 LBS. I'M DOWN 1.8 LBS. YYYYAAAAYYY! I didn't get a chance to do the two previous monthly challenges. I was having such a hard time the past two months with my Dr. changing my blood pressure medication, going back and forth with the weight. In the end, he realized that I didn't need to take the pressure medication anymore. I can truly say, the lap band has amazingly helped me achieved several of my goals. I'm officially off of my pressure medication. (Tear!) I also would like to add..... these monthly challenges are really motivating me to achieve my weight loss goal. You all inspire me so much and I would just like to say THANK YOU! Good Luck on your monthly goals.

    Checking in at 215.8. Only lost .8 lbs but I am extremely happy. I went on a cruise last week and ate more than usual. The only thing that saved me was going to the gym. So I'm extremely happy I didn't gain anything. Good Luck next week everyone!

    April 2011 Bandits

    Hello All,I was banded on April 13th. I had pain the first 2-3 days as to be expected. Day 4 and 5 I started feeling much better but was still dealing with the gas. It seems like I was starving on the all liquid diet and I was soooooo tired of the shakes. I'm finally on mushies. YAY!!! BUT.. the funny things is now that I'm on mushies, I'm not hungry as much. WTH!!! LOL! How am I supposed to get all of my protein in when I'm only supposed to eat when I'm hungry? Which is only supposed to be 3 meals a day. I found myself trying to drink a cup of milk often just to try to get the protein in. Here is where another one of my dilemma's is starting. It seems like everytime I drink milk (Skim Milk) it gives me gas like crazy. It settles inside my chest and left shoulder first then after awhile it comes out. I don't want to deal with this everytime I drink a cup of milk.I was 240lbs at surgery and now i am 228lbs. I'm down 12lbs and real excited about that!Congratulations to all of you April Bandsters!
  22. Hello All, I am 1 week and 4 days post op. I pretty much got rid of the gas, drinking all of my Protein shakes and liquids. I feel as good as to be expected BUT I can feel me healing inside, I guess where the band is and it is soooo sore. It feels like a big cut with a scab on it. I guess I just want to get back to when I was pain free. LOL! How long did it take you to heal at least healed enough to bend or drive?

    I'm the same way. I have a high tolerance for pain. I just want to get up and feel nothing. LOL! I feel alot better today. Not completely comfortable but its bearable. Thank you for your reply and much success on your journey.
  25. Hi Becky, I was banded on April 13th. I have been experiencing everything that you are experiencing. I didn't make a BM until yesterday. I called my Dr. and they told me to take a laxative. The only thing is I had a hard time making a BM where I had to kind of strain a little to get it out. I was miserable. Needless to say, I felt much more comfortable and relieved when i was done. I too was and is still on only liquids. I start mushies next thursday. Up until Thursday I was unable to drink all of my shakes as well. I just drank a little here and there. The funny part is that I was making sure I got my Water in and still I ended up constipated. It's Crazy! LOL! But hang in there, you will be drinking whole shakes soon as well as having BM's. P.S. I am also sick of the shakes now. LOL!
