  1. Try crystal light, or watered down juices such as cranberry/apple. Add enough juice for colour and flavour, mostly water!

    That was one crazy day!

Like the others have posted, I would explore second and even third opinion possibilites. You got the run-around from an office that lacks communication. It is not very assuring of your over all treatment from this particular practioner. I suggest you seek out another Dr. that has philosophies you agree with and also work with your insurance coverage.

    pain after surgery

Glad to know you are doing so well post-op!
  4. Wonderful to hear positive praise for Dr. Sal. It definately helps to hear feedback- make sure the staff hear this also. As a healthcare professional, I love hearing how I am performing at work also. I am scheduled Tuesday for surgery in Mexico with Dr. Armando Joya in Puerto Vallarta, he also gives out his cell number! This is reassuring to my family who are not joining me. Best of luck to you second time round!

    Greek Yogurt

Cool tip, I never would have thought of adding Crystal Light. Yeah, the greek yogurt is bitter, sweetener would help-Duh, I never even thought of it! Ha ha
  6. Have lots of rest Berenice and you will probably wake up feeling better. I am having surgery myself in 4 days. Write your thoughts down in a journal, remember you are stronger than this temporary discomfort. Everyday will get easier! Smiles and Hugs!

  7. thanks for that informative post on what to eat post-op!

Congrats on planning your journey. I leave Monday for Mexico; I am having surgery Tuesday. I have been on my pre-op diet of liquids and it is mind-over-matter. Best of luck to you!

    The best shake Gadget

I have a Hamilton Beach single serve blender. Just mix and go, it has a travel lid. It is quiet and doesn't take up lots of room! The price is affordable, under $20 at Walmart.

I was wondering the same thing. I gave up after trying to figure out how to post it! Hopefully someone can answer it for you.

March 2011 Banding, Is anyone out there?

Thanks Doddie! Perhaps you can share more information about the support group at LGH what is the time and room number?
  16. I feel the same way. My surgery is on the 15th. I am on day four of my pre-op diet and it is getting better. I think I am afraid of the "unexpected". I wonder why I chose this time in my life to go ahead with surgery. Fate I suppose... Hang in there Kelly 75, it can only get better!

    Self Pay Loan Options

I know how stressful it can be when arranging payment. I am doing self-pay and got a personal loan from my credit union. I opted to do my payments over 3 years so I don't make myself too tight financially. I do plan on paying it back sooner. This option was a smarter choice over carrying a credit card balance. Congrats on your arrangement. I know it is difficult to decide to have surgery, nevermind deciding on how to make it a reality. Best of luck!

    Liquids Question

I have to agree with Honk, the Premier drinks from Costco are convenient and tasty. I alternate with another shake I mix at home with skim milk.

    March 2011 Bandsters

How are you doing with your pre-op diet? I don't mind the shakes, I can pass on the broth though-yuck. My diet is shakes, yogourt, skim milk, clear apple/cranberry juice. I will be thinking of you, my surgery is on the 15th.
