    Intro - HCG

I have Lab Band scheduled for March 8th, was supposed to be today but the schedule filled up before they got my insurance letter. I didn't think I would get approved, so I lost 10 lbs and then had to gain it back before the insurance would approve me. After a week of eating crap, my body was hating me, had horrible stomach pains, throwing up was the only thing that made me feel better. All of my life, I've fought with weight loss. I finally found HCG, which was the only thing that seemed to work for me, but the last 2 years, I've lost it and then once I started eating carbs and sugar again I gain it all back plus 20 lbs more. I'm now at my heaviest, sitting around 240 lbs and I've had enough. I know that it will just be a tool, but I'm hoping that It'll be just enough to help me lose the weight and be able to keep it off for good. After my few weeks of liquids, I'm considering going back on the HCG to boost my weight loss. Has anyone tried the HCG diet after LB and did it work for you? I hate that they are pushing low fat after surgery. I know that eating low fat is bad for me and not healthy. Anything low or no fat has sugar and carbs to make up for the fat, and carbs are my #1 enemy. They want me to drink 2 glasses of skim milk a day, would rather take a calcium supplement or drink 2%. If you're still reading, thank you, and any help, suggestions, support is appreciated.

    Lap Band and Hcg?

I used HCG and the VLC diet several times and it's always worked for me, once after surgery. Since then I've switched to a Paleo/Caveman diet and continued to loose weight, without watching my calories and fat.

    Vitamins

As was told as long as they were smaller than the cap on a small water bottle. I take some solid pills but take a liquid multi-vitamin because I've heard that it's absorbed better.
  13. Just saw your post, checked out your profile and thought it was funny how similar we are. I was born Aug of 79, had surgery March 18th and our weight loss goals are pretty close. =)

  14. Amazon Got the tablets, you let them disolve in your mouth.
  15. I dont watch my calories, just eat Paleo and have continued to lose weight. I eat a lot of good fats, like coconut oil, lots of protein. That amount of calories seems high but if they're from the right foods it might still work.
  16. I'm 5'4" and 245 lbs with a BMI of 42, my doctor submitted my paperwork on last Friday and I was declined today. They said they needed more documentation, and that I dont have the comorbs that I need. I thought that as long as my BMI was 40, I didn't have to have comorbs, but it sounds like they are still using the 200% rule. I have back problems, high cholesterol, depression and have to take sleeping pills to sleep at night, but none of that counts. The Metropolitan weight chart leaves so much to guess at, Small frame is 114-127, so 200% would be 228 and medium is 124-138 or 248. I'm kind of inbetween a small and medium frame, my fingers do overlap slightly around my wrist. Do I really have to gain 3 lbs and then have them resubmit the paperwork? 5' 4" 114-127 124-138

    MARCH 2011 BANDSTERS!

I've switched to paleo, eating more and still loosing weight. Last week was our first week of 100%, no dairy or grains, lots of meat, veggies, eggs, fruit, nuts and coconut oil and I saw a lose every day. Going on vacation this week, so hoping I don't gain any back.
  18. Sometimes when there's changes the people denying the claims don't know of them. May help giving them a call.

What if your hubby LIKES you fat?

Your health is the most important! He should love you no matter what size you are and you being around longer should be important to him.
  20. I heard that they were changing it to a bmi of 40, instead of the confusing 100 lbs over.
  21. How close are you? Tricare requires you to have 2 health problems and be under or be 100 lbs or more overweight. They denied me the first time but I was close enough that I gained a few lbs and then the nurse handed me a box of books.
  22. congratz!! any tips? how did you do such a great job?

    Anyone try HCG?

I had a hard time sticking to phase 3 and once i started having the sugar and carbs again I put it back on before the lapband, with the lapband i can't and don't eat what I used to.

    Anyone try HCG?

Yes and it works but it's hard to stick to the low cal, low fat diet with the band, I always have a problem with chicken getting stuck, We as a family decided to do Paleo instead.
