    Fill Paranoia!

This may be a weird post, but I will put my thoughts out there anyway. I started off at 191- and now at 130 (my goal weight). I have had some slight bumps along the road, but generally feel good. Obviously my life is different regarding my clothing etc, and I feel great about it. I don't want to lose any more weight, but on some days when I eat whatever I want, I tend to feel psychology that the weight is going back on, and it is time for a fill. I go so far as to schedule for the adjustment and the morning of, the scale still says 130 lbs, and I have not gained anything, but I tend to become paranoid, in a "fear" that I don't want to gain anymore of the weight back. I still have some restriction (not as much)- but a decent amount, and I just feel like I am afraid to gain, so maybe it is better to fill again JUST in CASE another 5 lbs might come on. I think it is a PARANOIA, and not sure how I got here- but again I just wanted to share. My husband doesn't want me to get any more fills, because he feels I am small enough, and to be honest, I am - but my mind is still in "fatty mode". Has anyone ever experienced these paranoia's?

Overfill? Sweet Spot ? Who knows

My doctor said 3 days follow clear liquids, and then move on to full liquids for the next 2 days. I must admit I HAVE not followed those instructions to the "Tee", which makes my life much more difficult. I think the best advice would be to go back to liquids and by Wed I will evaluate if I still can't eat... maybe I would need a slight unfill. Thanks.
  5. Hi, I had my 2nd fill, and all I have been experiencing in the last 2 days was SLIMING. The only thing that goes down properly is oatmeal, and some Soup broth. How do you tell if you have too much fill? Does this feeling of not being able to really eat (but wanting to eat) change a few days after a 2nd fill? My concern is that I want to be able to get some Protein down, but not sure if takes a few days for my stomach to settle before I can really handle soft protein. Although I am extremely happy about finally feeling restriction, not sure if if the fact that I can't really eat 2 days after my 2nd fill means I have too much? SO unsure. :faint:
  6. Hi All, I had my first fill yesterday, and my dr did it under an xray, and immediately I felt full without eating. Unfortunately later on I got a headache, because I didn't eat and eventually started to vomit. The weirdest thing was that I was "HEAVING" and nothing came up, until about the 4th heave, where very little fluid came out. It was a bit scary. Today is a bit better, and I am not eating as much, but am scheduled to go back for my 2nd fill in 3 weeks. Just a question.. Is the first fill normally where you would feel fully restricted, or does it take about 2 or 3 fills? Also, my doctor instructed me that mere walking was not enough, that I had to get on a "TREAD MILL" to maximize the weight loss. My surgery was on 1.23.07, so I guess I should get started. I did Join the gym and am scheduled to start tomorrow, at an attempt to do 3 days a week. Any advice on starting out on the fills? I am just so anxious to see some true weight loss I don't know what to do!:help:

    January Bandsters???

    Nella337- Banded 1.23.07:girl_hug:
  9. Hi, I have a question. My incisions are practically healed after 2 weeks. Banded 1.23.07. I am scheduled for the Adjustment on 2.16.07, but curious to how they go in and find the exact spot to fill the band? I am sure they go into the incision where the port is located and insert a needle, but how do they know? Is there an Xray they have to do first? Also, what is the average/norm time that people get fills? (I know it depends on your comfort of eating/losing), but on an average, do you go every month... and then it slows down? :nervous
  10. I was worried. Thank You! I love this website!

    lap band diet

Don't worry, this is my biggest battle right now. I am scheduled for my first fill in 2 weeks, but my stomach is normal, and I have resumed "sort of" my normal eating habits (Minus all the bad stuff), but just watching portions. There really is nothing you can do about this, because your stomach is normal. The band is not yet filled.
  12. Hi All, I am about 2 weeks Post Op and eating as normal, but some of the weight that I lost preop and immediately post op has started to come back slightly (not much 1 lb or 2). Since I have not had my first fill which is scheduled in another 2 weeks, is it normal to be worried about seeing no progress just yet? I am wondering, was this worth it, I don't see any weight loss yet. Will the true weight loss begin after I get my first fill? HELP! :omg:

    Chest Pains?! Help:(

Hi, I was banded on Jan 22nd, and I experienced TREMENDOUS GAS PAINS. On day 3 after the banding, I took a soft laxative and a stool softener. And here is what I look Like today! It will eventually pass. I suggest a soft laxative.
  14. Hi, I took a lot of Gas X and Mylanta Multi, and to be honest that didn't do as well as I expected. It felt like someone took a balloon pump and inflated me with gas that wouldn't come out of either end. It was extremely painful. Eventually, I went to the pharmacist, explained that I had surgery, and she gave me a Stool Softener and a Laxative (Brand-Dulcolax), and it did wonders! It bought me back to life. :notagree
  15. Hi All, I was banded yesterday and am in a lot of pain. Is this normal? Also I have not passed any gas,and feel extremely bloated, and have walked and taken Gas X. Any suggestions?
