Ocean I have noticed sometimes there seems to be a bit cliquish, but for everyone that look us over, there are three that acknowledge us and show kindness. Don't give up. I hope you fee better...

My surgery date is mar 11. my emotions are all over. I think i am more worried about things going wrong..band slippeage, flipped port. because i am a self pay and i can't just keep going in to fix if something goes wrong.

Good for you !!I am still sooooo sad about pasta, i'm ready to chicken out. I won't but I didn't realize the depth of emotion and addition.

Congrats on your life choice..I am being banded mar 11 too. my husband is supportive, however I have made the choice not to tell anyone for a few months because I feel I don't want the added pressure. Ignore people that are trying to bring you down, it's their own insecurities. in the end the people who love you will be there..

once you have your surgery, you will have that full feeling. Congrats on the smoking you rock taking care of your body.

I understand...Man I can't sleep when my stomach is aching from hunger. I have become famous for what i call "night raids". I swear i woke up the next day and not two hot dogs are gone. at least when i'm banded i'll hopefully be FULL' SINCERELY j

I agree. I am also keeping it under wraps because I want my privacy while I work through this new beginning.....

Hi Melissa, I was diagnosed with bipolar eleven years ago and put on 120 lbs. I am scheduled for surgery March 11. My biggest concern is swallowing the pills, and them absorbing in my body. I was at a support group Monday and there was a woman there who has been crushing her xanax, it's going through her system too fast and she is having withdrawls. So I am going to make sure to quiz my doc. I understand the concern of having so many pills to take. I feel good about the decision to have lap band surgery. Just this hiccup, I'll get it figured out. So will you. Good Luck

YES I know. I actually cried, felt all emotional. I refer to myself as a Pastarian, so I made a big batch of spaghetti. I could only eat a little...of all times. I thought about cruising main and stopping at every fast food joint. My surgery is March 11, so now I have started the pre-op diet....HUNGRY.... trying to get the frame of mind going...Getting there...also getting nervous. Here we go..!!!!
