    Protein Shake Winner

Jay Rob Vanilla protein powder is the bomb! Mixed with skim milk and fresh raspberries...I actually look forward to it! It is 25 g of protein per scoop...110 cal...no sugar...no carbs. 34 g of protein if mixed with a cup of skim milk. It is sweetened with a hint of Stevia...but nothing over powering. It is 100% all natural whey protien. It is pricy but it's the only one I can stand to drink anymore. Funny thing is I had protien shakes every day for the last year...by choice (lol!)!

    Pre-Op Diet

Hi. I am on the pre-op diet as well. I can have the protien shakes and unlimited fruits and veggies. I work out a lot and I am doing a 5K on Sunday and this is just not enough calories to keep me going. I called my doctor's office and they told me to do the best I can with it and if I do have to eat something other than fruits and veggies, make it a non-fat, non-sugar choice. I have had small serviings of cottage cheese and egg beaters. What I find is that everyone one here is on some type of different pre-op requirement. Some do two weeks, while other only have to do one. Some patients don't have the pre-op diet requirement at all. Some are all liquids, some get a low cal high protien meal once a day. I guess what I am getting to is that the pre-op diet is designed to shink your liver and get you into a lower calorie eating mode. I think if you do the best you can and need to veer a litle , in a healthy way, it's all good. Just my honest opinion. Good luck and it does get easier as you go!
  3. Thank you all so much!!! The reason I asked about cleaning the belly is that they told me to use an anti-bacterial before the surgery, but I saw on here a while ago people mentioning a certain product.
  4. Mine is at 10:00!!! I'll be looking for you on here to see how you did! Good luck!!!
  5. Thank you so much! I was required to do the 6 month pre-surgery weigh ins. I went to my seminar on December 15, 2010. Had my initial appt with the surgeon on December 15 and went to my family doctor to discuss what I needed him to help me do on December 16, which was my first of my 6 visits required. I then went once a month and on May 3 I had my last visit and weigh in. I then went to the surgeon's office on May 4...signed my papers, met with the nutritionist and they scheduled me for surgery on May 24. They submitted all of my info to the insurance on May 5 and I got my approval yesterday. I did everything I needed to do, never missed an appointment of any kind and I am almost six months to the day of when I started the process. It may seem like a long time to wait and I was so disappointed when I found out about the 6 month process but know I am grateful for it! Best of luck to you <3!

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

I will be banded May 24, 2011. I have lost 47 lbs at WW since Jan 19, 2011. I have also lost a total of 90 lbs at WW since 2008...gained and lost twice actually ! What I am having a hard time understanding is how you can eat 29 points and flex points after being banded...that could be a lot of food if you eat healty. They way my Dr and Nutruitionist talk to me, I will only be able to have 3 small meals a day and no snacking. Is this not realistic...3 small meals?!?!

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Hello everyone! I was soooooo happy to see this thread! I have not ben banded yet, but have a tentative date of may 23, 2011. I am currently a Weight Watchers member and have been for 3 years. I have lost 80 lbs on WW with MANY gains in between. I feel as if the band will be a tool to help me keep losing and help keep the weight off. I still have a lot to loose. I was hoping for some feedback on what banders think about me having been doing WW for so long before my surgery...do you think it will be a benefit to me after surgery? When I am on WW, I do it hardcore. I am also an avid exerciser. Just getting really anxious as my date is quickly approaching. Any feedback would be so appreciated! Thanks )
