I have a question. Does Dr. Kirshenbaum or his staff use that flouroscopythingy for fills or just goes on in there with out one? -
Congratulations! I got my date today too!
-
Congrats on the 2 years!

No, not me, not yet at least. I'm sure I will be once my name is called at the hospital for my surgery. I am, however, excited as all hell! :whoo:

Thanks SElaine Wow, thank you! You know, your website and pictures were a HUGE motivator for me to go through with this surgery. I find it odd and neat that my date is your one year mark and that you repied to my post. I truly hope to become as sucessful with my weight loss as you have been!

Hello all! I just got off the phone with Marilynn and scheduled my surgery for the 9th of May. I'm very excited! :clap2: -
I have a few questions. First, in another thread, people have mentioned how great the aftercare was at NWWLS. Can you go into more detail about that. Like, are the fills free? What else? What is their price? Is my memory correct and it was 20k? I just can't find it listed on their website and I know I've seen it before. Also, say I have surgery elsewhere. Is there someplace other than Fill Centers USA to have this done at? Thanks for any help!
-
Thanks for the reply! $17k... that's a bit better than the $20k I was thinking. So aftercare is what, fills and nutrition information?

I'm pretty sure I'm right on them not covering it at all... I did ask "Is weight loss surgery covered, Lap Band specifically and how do you go about getting approval" but I could be more specific in my questions and call back. What could it hurt, eh? Thanks!
-
Thanks Kickiegirl... I did check my insurance and it specifically says that it's not covered. Unless there's a way they can fight the no-lapband/weight loss surgery part in my coverage.

Hello all! I'm from Stanwood and currently pounding my head against the wall, trying to get financing for lap banding. I'm at like 41 or 42 BMI. I'm undecided where I would have the surgery. I was all set to find a recommended doctor in Mexico (preferably surgery in a hospital) but have been reading around that there are some places, like in ID and CO, that do cost around $10k. Guess I still got a bit of the Mexico surgery jitters. It comes and goes, depending on if someone is swearing by it or swearing there are chickens walking on the OP floors. I haven't applied for any financing yet. I'm pretty sure I will be denied and need to figure out who is the easiest to get an approval from, so that I don't wreck my credit further by filling out apps left and right. I brought up the idea about co-signing to my grandmother yesterday and that seems like a possibility. Don't know if co-signing is possible for something like this... and if little old ladies are exactly what they'd want, lol. I'm so clueless on this and need to Google me up some financing Q&As. So anyhow, that's my story. Anybody want to co-sign for me, lol? No?
