If you still feel the pressure, I wouldn't do it. I know in the beginning I would want to eat again, but I lived and learned and wouldn't do it.

I understand the wanting to hit an even 50! My last visit I wanted to hit an even 80 and I was 79 down. So close! I took off my rings, necklace, wore some light clothes too, what the heck! When I told the dr I was having an apple for a snack she recommended that I switch it out for a piece of string cheese. But It already looks like you get a ton of protein. I get in about 60 a day. I don't count my carbs though, but I don't eat that many, atleast not that many coming from starches or breads. Maybe look up the 5 day pouch test and do that. One friend lost 9, and the other was down 5 on day 4 this week and I haven't talked to her since she completed. Good luck, I hope you make it for your weighin! PS....you did make your appt for first thing in the moring, and before you eat anything?!!!! I always do, but my next weighin is at 11:20, can't hold out that long without any food!

I Slipped Up This Week...
Holly Dolly replied to shakey88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is gonna eat something they shouldn't at one point. As long as it doesn't happen all the time. The good thing though is I only can eat a little of something bad, like chips, instead of the bag I was used to! Today is a new day. -

BEING TAKEN OFF THE C PAP MACHINE!
Holly Dolly replied to roseyposey's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I LOVE not sleeping with my cpap now! It never bothered me, was used to it from day 1. I think what was waking me up at night was feeling the hose pull when I would flip over in my sleep. Now my husband does not miss the sound of air coming out when I would lay on my side. -

I Wanna Hear Your Lapband Stories Good Or Bad. Lots Of Questions Xd
Holly Dolly replied to YumiiShyy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hello there. I am coming up on a year and very happy with my band. I can't say that it has controlled my hunger, hoping my next fill will do it. My horror story? Thank goodness there is only one! I ate a handful of cheese Its, packed my band full and then drank a slushy. Not even thinking that I shouldn't have the slushy after eating, I was excited because my kids wanted one and I saw they had a sugar free one. Well, shorthly thereafter I couldn't even swallow my saliva. When you do get something stuck, you will get a ton of saliva and that's what comes up for me whenever I have had something get stuck. After 5 hours of throwing up, I finally decided to call my dr. Mind you, I was camping and now it was 7:30 pm! I was atleast 50 miles away from the office and thought I could just crawl into my tent and just sleep it off. Nope, no way, no how! My physician asst met me at the office at 9:30 pm. She took a tiny bit out and instant relief! Did I learn my lesson? Well, yes and no. I never did it to that extreme but I did have Cheese Its one more time and felt them going down slow. So, since then I haven't touched them! I wish the same thing would have happened with chocolate! Good luck! Can't wait to hear your success story down the road. -

Congrats on the 70 pounds! You feel or you know you are eating what you are supposed to? Maybe you should keep a food journal for a couple of weeks tracking your protein and calories and see a nutritionist. have you been back to see your doctor? -
wow, you are doing great!

Im Finally Legal Again....
Holly Dolly replied to formykids2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I first was banded and going to my 6 week emotional eating group we were asked what one of our goals was. Mine was to weigh what my driver's licence said, 158 pounds! Funny thing is I took a new pic a few days before my surgery and I was 238! Guess I shouldn't say funny but he didn't ask me any questions. Needless to say my pic is horrendous. Going to go in soon and retake my picture, this time I'm gonna put my goal weight of 140! -

Sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your band. Have you followed all the guidelines given to you by your dr?

Yay For Non Scale Victories!
Holly Dolly replied to Holly Dolly's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You'll get there Kitty! -
Yay for non scale victories! Today I was left to use the last towel in the closet, the one that no one likes to use. And you know it must be small if no one else wants to use it, considering I "WAS" the biggest one in the house! Well, today that towel wrapped around me and I was able to tuck it under my arm! WOO HOO! I am reaping the benefits of a new, healthy lifestyle. I am so thankful everyday for what the band has helped me achieve!
