Not much that I can't have anymore either. I stick to filet mignon now, instead of rib eyes or New York steaks. Other than that, the only thing that gives me a problem is snow peas, and oh how I do miss those! I made them a couple of nights ago and just ate the seeds from the inside. Even though I do destring them, they have given me a problem the few times I ate them.

How Often Are You Drinking?
Holly Dolly replied to kmt1973's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink a bottle of water on my morning walk, I have a 2 cup cup of tea before breakfast. I drink a 24 ounce crystal light before lunch, another water bottle in the afternoon and then I have a bit of water with dinner and maybe 1/2 cup water at night. Hmmmm, guess I drink all day long! I find that it helps to drink when I am feeling hungry and it's not meal time. -
I no longer feel full after eating. I eat a small portion and I am usually satisfied. What you have to get used to is that you probobaly wont have that full feeling like you used to. If you are anything like me, I didn't stop eating until I was past that full feeling and then it was too late, I would be stuffed! I got used to thinking that was the way to tell that I had enough. It's a hard one to get over, it was only about a month ago that I experienced that real full feeling after eating about 1/2 cup of rice with my meal and it was then that I realized that I don't miss that feeling at all anymore.

Lap Band Vs. Sleeve
Holly Dolly replied to SleepingBeauty<3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can eat bread, I can eat rice.....I don't do sushi! -
if you have too much restriction and nothing is going down, sounds like you may need a slight unfill. One can not live on Starbucks and fried chicken nuggets alone!

How Did You Tell People?
Holly Dolly replied to lbugher's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine was very excited for me. I announced it at Christmas dinner that my mom was giving me the best present ever. Why are you worried your SO wont support you? And if he wont support you for you taking control of your health, hmmmm? You have to do this for yourself, and that is what matters most. -

Holly Dolly replied to tammyg1969's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Look at all the IV fluids that were pumped into you. It's normal to gain a few pounds after the surgery. And what the heck are you doing housewoek after 3 days?!!!! -
These 3-4 Pounds Keep Stalking Me!

switch things up. Do something different for exercise and also switch up your food intake. Do you track your calories? Sometimes if you eat more one day and then down another that can help. -

Question For Alumni - Twinge From Incision
Holly Dolly replied to neekoal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My dr gave me asupport band to wear around my abdomen. I think it really helped to hold everything in place. -
I don't think you are eating too much volume if on some days you are only eating 600 calories. That may be too low and you need to up it. I can eat more than a cup of food also. I don't really measure my whole meal in volume. I weigh 3 ounces protein and eat as many veggies as I like. I do measure out 1/4 to 1/2 cup of mashed potaotes, 1/3 cup corn or eat a golf ball size baked potatoe. As for yogurt, I eat a small container and top it with 1/2 cup kashi go lean crunch cereal and a few cut up strawberries for breakfast. I have 6.85 in my 10 band and still feel like I can eat anything. I have been struggling with the same couple of pounds up and down too since last month. It's still a learning process for me too! Good luck to you.

Call you doctor. You should be able to get ahold of someone at his office. You don't want to suffer all weekend long with worry! I hope you are feeling better soon.

Trying To Make The Up My Mind What To Do.
Holly Dolly commented on disneynut1969's blog entry in disneynut1969's Blog
Just do it, who cares about what anyone else says. Look around for doctors in your area that offer weekly support group meetings for their patients. Mine does and I go to them often. I also had a 6 week emotional eating group too with a psychologist at the office. We finished that last April yet my group continues to meet on a monthly basis. I was like you before too, avoided mirrors, avoided pictures, now I can't get in enough of them....LOL!! Sorry about your son and aunt, that is tough and I know how it is to go for food under those circumstances, happy or sad I would want to eat. It still happens now, emotional eating is a tough one to overcome. BUt if you have your husband's support, that is all that really matters. Go for it, start looking around for a dr who will be a good fit for you. You owe it to yourself, you are worth it. -

Love my hubby, but my arms not so much! That's the only thing that I care about getting plastic surgery for.
