    Pasta!!!!

I used to love pasta, prob had it at least twice a week before surgery. I can still eat it but I don't any more. When I make it for my family I will just have the meat sauce and add a little bit of cheese. I still have to count my calories so for me, it's not worth it.

And Then There Was A Pouch

Good luck to you. I can honestly say though that my saving grace has been counting calories. I am not one of the lucky one's who rarely feels hungry until 4 hours after the last meaI. I know that I did so good the first year staying around 1000 calories a day. Been struggling with a couple pounds up and down for the last 2 months and I know that it's because I have been eating more calories. I'd say give it a try. What could it hurt?

    Why Get A Lapband?

well, #1 for me is slowing down my eating. Before surgery I could eat a huge plate of food in a matter of minutes. If I did that now, the food would buildup in the pouch and it would make me throw it up. It's not the same kind of sick as when you have the flu. It starts as a lot of saliva coming out and then maybe a little bit of food. Now I measure out what I am supposed to eat and take my time. This has kept my intake to what it should be.

Band Being Replaced With The Sleeve?

If you are at your sweet spot and you are at restriction, put that tool to work! Start journaling your intake and make sure you get in all your protein and limit your caloric intake to 1200 or less a day. And baby steps with the exercise is ok, just start out walking.

  16. crazy to think what I am hooked on now is carrots! I peel them, and julienne slice them. Sprinkle a little bit of salt, pepper and olive oil and I bake them. Finish them off with the broiler to toast them a little and I can eat these all day! I make extra so I can have with my lunches.
