    Is This Normal??

it's not a matter of seeing how much you can eat. If that was the case, I could sure eat way more than I am supposed to. Some people have good restriction and it does limit how much they can eat. Unfortunately not the case for me. I weigh and measure everything I eat and that's all I get. Listen to your nutritionist, she knows what she is talking about!
  2. time to take a batha nd escape this head hunger!

  3. Only you can decide what you feel comfortable with. My first goal was 160 and to wear a size 12. I am 149 and wear a 6 but still want to get to 140. I want to be within the normal weight range for my height instead of overweight.
  4. Didn't get my morning walk in, but got my rollerskate on at work! Beautiful day!

  5. ok, when I first had my lapband surgery and had to take a 6 week emotional eating class there was a lady who did not tell anyone except for her husband. And she did say it was from fear of her failing. Well, over a year later I am friends with her on facebook and I see her looking exactly the same. I feel like she set herself up for failure from the beginning. I'm not saying you have to tell the world, but you need to go into this surgery KNOWING it is going to be successful for you if you follow the rules. I feel like having people know at work helps keep me accountable to myself. It also helps that I work for my brother and he had it done a year before me!
  6. 8.5 pounds from goal, gonna be the life of me!

How Long Did Your Plateau Last?

same here...weighed 151 in February, have been going between 150-155 ever since! I did get to 149 over a week ago and then went back up. Today I was 149 again, hoping to stay in the 140's for good now. I exercise at least 5 days a week, but staying low on calories has been tough now that the first year has gone by. I have been good on calories now for the 4 days. Keeping my fingers crossed for you and I!

    Frustraaaaated!! Arrrrgggh!!! >:(

It took me 4 weeks to lose the first 13 pounds post surgery. I remember being discouraged too. But I plugged along journaling and keeping my calories close to 1000 a day for the first year. It will happen!

Food For Thought... Pardon The Pun!!

I am right there with ya Honk on the carrots! Had either 4 or 5 baby carrots earlier this afternoon. I guess a little too fast because it took 2 hours for them to completely make their way through. I hadn't had them in a long time until this past weekend when I tried them again with about 1 T dressing and they went down fine. Not so fine without the dip!
  11. I have told everyone except for my hubby's mom, and 2 sisters and their families. I had my surgery more than a year ago, saw them at Christmas 75 pounds down and the only one who said anything was my MIL about 3 hours after we first got there! All I said is that I watch my calories, get my protein in, and exercise. Which is what I do, with a little help from the band!

Does Anyone Else Feel This Way??

I still love to eat, that hasn't changed for me. I just eat way less than I used to and prob enjoy food more now because of it.

    Not Feeling Full

well, I find that I never feel full at least not to the extent that I used to feel presurgery. I measure/weigh what my meal should be and sometimes satisfied, sometimes not. I have just accepted that this is really all that I need and that how I ate before is what got me into this situation! I used to eat until I was stuffed and had to be rolled away from the table. Getting over the realization that s atisfied does not equal stuffed was a hard one at first for me. In fact it is something I have been battling once again in my head lately! I would def think it's time to get another fill. I had my first 2 fills at about 5 and 7 weeks post surgery. I have had 11 fills and 2 slight unfills in 14 months.
