    Unhappy With Lap Band

    Did your dr remove all your fluid in your band? Sounds like you need to have an upper GI done to check out what's going on with the band. I would hate to have such a great tool removed if it's something that can be fixed.

    I'd say you were a little tight. Nothing more uncomfortable than not being able to swallow your own saliva if you keep spitting up saliva. I wouldn't suffer through the night, I'd be right in getting some taken out.
  5. #1 advice??????? Journal, journal, journal!! If I did not log my intake from day 1, I would not be where I am today. I could have easily eaten more than what I served myself, but I didn't. I sucked it up and ate my 3 oz portion of protein, 1/2 cup veggie and 1/4 cup potato if I had some. The first year was so much easier for me. After a 2 month plateau I am losing again. 1 pound from goal. When I reach that, I am going for an even 100 pound loss! 135 is my ultimate goal. You can do it too!

    Definitley keep track of calories! I don't measure my protein in volume, I measure it in weight.

  10. I went away on a 5 day vacation in Feb and went up 5 pounds. I battled those 5 for 2 months up and down. I was eating more calories than I should many days of the week. I came home from vacation and continued to act like I was on vacation! I'm not talking a lot of calories, like 1600 a day. But that was enough to to maintain my weight.     Have you tried the sweetner stevia? It's made from a plant. I like the brand Truvia the best.

    I drank a lot of Crystal Light in the beginning to help tide me over. I am just feeling like I am in the greenzone now and I am more than a year out from surgery. Good luck to you!

    I battled a few pounds up and down for over 2 months. Just this past month it has finally started coming off again. Evaluate what you are eating and log online if you don't already do so.

    I don't pay attention when it says I am not eating enough and going into starvation mode. I love the site though, log my food intake everyday. I also don't pay attention when it say if I ate this way everyday for the next 5 weeks I would weigh 132 pounds....just hasn't happened!

    I used to log in a journal, but about a month ago started using myfitnesspal.com. If you join, add me. My user name is holbraden!
  25. From day 1 I have logged my intake and was really good about staying around 1000 calories a day. Once I hit my year anniversary it was hard just trying to stay under 1500 a day. This past couple of weeks I have been doing much better again.
