When I was first banded in Feb 2011, my dr's office said 3 meals a day and no snacking. Now they are saying that 4 meals is fine. I guess it is what works for you. Usually it is 4 meals that work for me!
It has taken me 16 months for me to get to the point where the band has limited the amount I can eat. I would not have been as successful as I have been had I not weighed and measured everything out. I wish I could say I would have gotten there quicker but it is what it is! I have gotten so used to doing it, I don't think twice any more.
80% perfect.............. still love my sweets! I have to say though, I am good with my meals it's just the extras that sometimes I choose not to do without!
29 pounds is way more than I was down in 6 weeks! I was only down 13 the first month. You are doing amazing. When people ask you, just say....."Sure am!" and leave it at that!
I go through periods where I make pizza all the time. I have been having it on flat bread too. I made my own pizza using premade dough from Fresh &Easy and measured out my 2 ounce portion. I use regular jarred pizza sauce since it' only 30 calories for /4 cup. Way less calories though from my flat bread since it was only 70 calories for half a piece, a whole piece is about 8x10 inches.
sometimes eggs go down a little slow. But the last 2 days I have mixed 2 eggs with 1 T light mayo for egg salad and it goes down really easy. Just a suggestion!
I can pretty much eat anything except for snow peas and if I have a few too many raw baby carrots. I do avoid any steak excpet for filet mignon. Other than that, I have been pretty lucky unless I stuff my pouch and then that's my own darn fault!
PJ, having your numbers go down is huge!! Congrats, you are already a healthier you!!! As for the sweet spot, I just reached it! 16 months later and finally there!
Having a big meal before your fill prob doesn't affect anything. I'm sure all the food had passed through the pouch. My dr makes me drink water before I leave, any gurgling and she is in a hurry to remove it!
