bets, it's all about willpower for me too. The only time the band "restricted" me from eating anything was when I was too tight and having acid reflux. Sure, it was nice losing some extra lb's, but life is too short for me not to enjoy the food that I like. So I had a little bit removed. I can still eat bread, Pasta, pizza and I am filled 7.35 in my 10 band. Do I choose to eat those everyday? Nope. I measure and weigh everything, log it all on myfitnesspal and that's the reason for my success.
In regards to the original poster.....maybe eating half of what you used to be able to is still too high in calories for you to lose at a speedier rate. Are you keeping track of how much you are consuming? And as for feeling full, that was the one thing that was hard to get used to NOT feeling. Preband , I would eat til I was stuffed. Now I measure my portions out and rarely go over what they should be. Now mind you, I rarely leave anything behind either but I am content on the smaller meals.
