    Fill

Hi! A fill is when the band is tightened. It restricts your food intake. I just had my first fill monday. It wasn't bad at all. You just have to eat mush for about 3 days. :hungry:
  2. Hi! I am 54 and was banded on January 8, 2007. I have lost 2 to 5 lbs a week but not every week. Some weeks I think your body just has to adjust to your new way of eating. I have lost 20 lbs. and I have been able to eat everything so far. I still didn't have a fill. I think I have been very lucky. I wish the same for you and all the banders.

    January Bandsters???

Hi all, I just got home around noon today. My surgery was yesterday at 7:30 am. Thank God all went extremely well. I was walking around by 11:00 am. I think it had a lot to do with the anesthesiologist. I told him that I have a bad reaction with anesthesia, it makes me dizzy and vomit. I also told him about the gas problems everyone had mentioned and he said he could take care of it and he did. No dizziness, no vomiting and no gas problems.:clap2: I am on a liquid diet this week :hungry: and a puree diet next week I will keep you all informed.

    Anxious

Thanks for the support.........I'll let you know how it went as soon as I can. From what I have been reading it seems to be the biggest problem everyone is having is the gas. I'm glad to know this before the surgery, so I can get the gas-x now.
