julierae here,i am self funded and after 6 years my band has stopped retaining fluid, i have had to pay for a new port (which was not the problem) so i then had to have a gasrocopy and that showed everything looking ok so now the surgeon is researching what can be the next move. I am in australia so the costs are probably different but i am out of pocket so far for all the proceedures. I am in constant touch with my G.P and i have her requesting reports from the surgeon but i hold little hope that the manufactures will ever take any responsability
