  1. Just the standard for me. It is pretty simple and just a little stick, then water. They did say next time they are going to x-ray me. My next fill is number 4 for me.
  2. I have been stuck a couple of times and for me it was extremely uncomfortable and not something I want to do...but I never saw stars or got dizzy. I still am happy with my decision to have the band and am pleased with my weight loss.

    breakfast at restaurants

Soory Rachel, should have read before I opened my mouth. Just saw you don't like eggs. I add a little picante sauce to mine!!

    breakfast at restaurants

Many restaraunts offer healthier choices now. You can get egg substitute, and sometimes egg whites. I eat lots of eggs/egg whites. That is one of the best Proteins you can eat. The main thing will be to stay away from sugar like pancakes, waffles and syrup!

Just banded and full of questions

I would try to call into your Dr's office and find the answer to the questions you have now. You really need to know about the stitches!!! My DR has been out of the picture since my surgery. I used True Results and my surgeon has a office at another seperate location. I go to True Results for my fills. I needed to see my surgeon and had to make an appointment to see him at his office. I understand completely why you would be upset at him saying he would come by and then he did not. Perhaps he had an emergency with another patient. Still he should have had someone explain his absence to you. Hope things go well for you. You need to get your protein in each day, some DR's don't like the shakes after you have gone through the initial healing stages. Multi vitamins are a must-another question you need an answer to ASAP!!
  7. Great-so gald you took care of yourself and are feeling better!!!! Must have been really scary.

Getting back to work after banding

Depends on your job. I had surgery on Wednesday and back to work the following Monday. I work both in office and in the field. I worked in my office the first week back and waited until the following week to venture out to the field. My job does not involve any heavy lifting. Good luck.

    STRUGGLING.....

Not sure about upping the calories and staying there but you can try going up then back down. The body is a very efficient machine and sometimes you have to throw it a curve ball.
  23. My DR also advises no solid food for about 4-5 hours before a fill. So I usually just have protien drink(s) that morning.
