ok sounds good, this is all new to me I cant wait to get my first fill so I can actually see what its going to be like to have the band cause now i have a little restriction but not much so basically im trying to do it on my own till the big fill hopefully it goes well!! where idid u go for surgery/

I live in Okeechobee, a couple hours from fort lauderdale but I was banded from Dr. Cohen at Hollywood bariatrics/Estetica Institute on Feb 16th 2011 pretty new to the lap band also!!!! nice to hear from someone near me!! -

Thanks for the advice I called my dr but of course he wont be back till tomorrow, however my hernia was repaired on my diaphragm so i'm kinda thinking maybe its just swollen from that I hope anyways, I think they told me my port is going on the right so it cant be the port cause the swelling is on the left, but then again I could be wrong I hope I find out soon though it kind of has me worried -

Ok so I had my Surgery 02/16/2011 and I had a hernia -so I'm not sure if this is the cause but when I was a 7 days post op I noticed my stomach started to swell kinda towards the left above my belly button, now it started at 7 days post op and today I am 11 days post op and it doesnt look like its going down the dr did not mention anything about swelling to me maybe its nothing, maybe its from the hernia, is this normal? I am going to call them tomorrow just wanted some input Thanks -

I was banded Wednesday too, HoweverI feel like I got the shit kicked out of my stomach several times lol and my throat is killer sore I'm up and around today but I've been sleeping in the recliner the last 2 nights I sure hope it gets better and man im starving -
Well I was banded Wednesday and I have been in so much pain and havent been able to get anything down but a little water and a few sips of broth I really hope this is all worth it! Im so dreaming about some yummy food right now....

I was banded Wednesday 02/16/2011 and I too had a hernia and I've been in extreme pain down in my stomach area, I haven't been able to cough or hiccup without being in extreme pain and my throat is severly sore I'm guessing from the tube and I have phlegm that I keep trying to get up and it just hurts worse, I havent been able to get nothing down since wednesday but a half a bottle of water and a few sips of broth, I finally was able to get some chicken noodle soup down a few bites that is and it was like heaven, I really hope all this is worth it cause this is alot more than I expected and was told to expect I know everyones body is different but I guess I was hoping for alot less pain. -
Hi, My name is Brandi I have decided to do the lap band my procedure is 2/16/2011, I had my blood work done this morning I am so scared im not going to be able to follow the diet and eat healthy!! Food is my passion I eat when im mad, sad or just happy!!
