I live in a rural area with only two lap band docs in reasonable driving distance. Now that one of them is turning his back on the band I will have to see if the other will take me as a new patient. He wants a copy of my medical records and a letter from me stating why I want to become his patient.

I checked out the web site and my insurance would go up 245 per month. The catch is I don't know what my coverage would be or what my deductible would be so i am really in the dark as to whether it is better or not. Regardless, I don't want the gov to run another program into the ground like they have everything else. I guarantee you IT WILL FAIL! This is something that often gets overlooked. It takes time for hair to grow and even longer for new growth to start. All of the Biotin and shampoos etc. won't grow hair but will only make your current hair healthier and fuller. People lose hair for two reasons that I know of related to WLS. The anesthesia itself can cause hair loss and the absence of protein due to pre and post op diets can cause it. This is what my doc told me and I have done a little research on the web to verify it. All most people can do is get their protein in and patiently wait for your hair to come back. My hair was lost for five months or so but it corrected itself (mostly) I am open to correction as I am not an expert in any field I am aware of.

I have been using a cpap for 10 years now. Couldn't sleep without it. Since I have lost some weight I have lowered my pressure some with the docs approval. When I think I can get off of it I will have another sleep study to be sure. Why? Because heart attacks and strokes suck.

When I go to my profile it only shows 12 friends. It has always shown 12 friends once I got at least 12. I look at other peoples profiles and they show no more than 12 friends also. I know some of these people have way more than 12 friends on here. Is it some limitation that only I see or does this happen for other people too? Why don't all of the friends show up? You, me and most of us have done what we needed to to continue our life. I was a walking dead man, I still am, but that is another issue. For those that don't need surgery I say great for them. I wish I was one of them. For those that need to put others down I say don't let it bother you. Easier said than done of course...... You are looking better every day and we can see the progress on here!
