How Many Mcg Of Biotin Do U Take Daily???
m1aman replied to hopingtobebandedsoon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get mine at Wally World and take 5000mcg daily. No one ever told me how much to take I just started taking it and it has helped my hair and nails. -

Grats on your A1C!! I'm jealous.
-
I've gotten that question a few times myself.

My doc recommends Centrum and Flinstones with iron. One each per day. It is hard to find a chewable vitamin that is as complete as a regular pill. Just because they say they are complete doesn't mean they are. Check the labels. Good luck!

Question For Others Who Have Been Banded A While
m1aman replied to lauradevans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gummies are okay as long as you chew them completely. But like Nevara said they are far from complete, yet better than nothing. -

Are There Really That Many Failed Bandsters Out There?
m1aman replied to joylene6's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have talked with my doc about this and I think there are a lot of people (but not most people) who fail with the band. But the reason is usually that they didn't follow the docs instructions. Sure, some will have complications beyond their control of course........... -

Anyone Post Op Taje Metformin/glucophage?
m1aman replied to Nevara's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am a type 2 diabetic and insulin resistant. I am on amaryl and levemir(insulin) and my blood sugar is in the 80-130 range. For me, it works better than metformin did. I have to eat low carb to keep my sugar in the normal range. -
Anyone Post Op Taje Metformin/glucophage?
m1aman replied to Nevara's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You MIGHT be able to swallow metformin at first, before you have any fills. But you are asking for trouble in my opinion. My GP switched me to amaryl because it is a much smaller pill and works well for me too. I'm really surprised your doc is telling you it is okay to swallow metformin. That is a big honking pill. But every doc is different, just like every patient, so you may just have to experiment to see what works for you. I promise you though..... if you ever get a pill really stuck you won't want it to happen again. -
Be sure you get all of the protein you are supposed to. You might want to start taking biotin as well. See what your doctor says about it.

Sick And Tired Of People Being Rude/discouraging

I understand how you feel. I hate people asking me about my weight. It really annoys me. As for your situation, 24 pounds is pretty good at this stage. Way to go! -
