    Crazy question???

I went about 5-6 days after surgery without one too. I didn't stress about it knowing it would come. I never felt bloated or constipated, just didn't need to go.
  2. So refreshing to see a positive, upbeat post from someone on this site. You have the right attitude and I wish you the best. Good luck!
  3. Not me. I was happy to be having the surgery. If you need it, you should be too. HAPPY EASTER!
  4. I have never seen an ad on this site. Might be my blocker.
  5. If I remember right I believe my whole process took 4 months from start to finish. That included three months of hoop jumping and another month of waiting for a surgery date. Six months seems pretty common but you may get lucky and get yours done in less like I did. By the way I have BCBS federal.
  6. Looking good! And running six miles? Wow!

    3rd day post-op

I had terrible back pain for 2-3 days but other than that I was ok. Are you on pain meds? That could be causing the nausea.....

    Port moving?

My port is in the same place but the incision has moved about 2.5 inches with weight loss.

    Is something wrong ?

Who is "she"? The doctor or a nurse etc.?

    62

I think my bmi was about 49 or so and that is pretty high. One of my wake up calls is when I went to the doc and saw on my med report "morbidly obese". Of course I knew I was fat but seeing it in print was something different altogether.

    Metformin

I took metformin until I was banded and it never helped me with my weight. Since it is so big my doc switched me to glimepiride after surgery as it is a smaller pill and I can swallow it whole.

I finally did it. I've lost 200 pounds

That is amazing. What an example for others! Take care.

CVS Requiring Workers To Disclose Weight

I can't speak for the rest of you but I certainly do not have a disease. I am fat because I take in more calories than I burn and I did it for many years. That is not a disease, but a choice I made. I have now chosen to do things differently and I have lost weight. Getting a lap band did not cure my "disease" but it did fix my mindset. To hide behind labels is to not take responsibility for our behavior. I don't know about other countries but it is prevalent in America to never take responsibility for our behavior. Everybody is a victim and wants something or someone to blame things on. That is the cowards way out and I won't take it myself. I made myself fat, no excuses. Your mileage may vary......

CVS Requiring Workers To Disclose Weight

Fat people are expensive. Why should healthy people have to foot their bill?

I dont want to see you anymore...

It does no good to avoid your scale. It is just living in denial. Woman up and own it!
