Welcome and Best of Luck FeFe!!
3. I am scheduled for surgery later this month and am already starting to wonder if I will be able to continue with my usual routine of visiting "Curves" 2-3 times per week??? Doing well on the inches, scale not budging much for right now, but know it will. Just want to continue with the good work that I am doing for myself. This is the year that I start and continue to care for me. Anyone else outthere who goes to Curves??

March 2011 Bandsters

As silly as it sounds I made "jelloJigglers" with the SF Jello. The whole pan is gone between the 4 of us here in the house tonight. It was kind of fun and nice to have your family enjoying your snack as well.

Ignorant people

If people only could understand that this is the most difficult decision and it will effect each and every one of us every day for the rest of our lives. It certainly is not going to be the "easy" way out. Best of luck!!
7. Glad to hear that things are going better today for you Shirley!! We are all here to support each other in each stage of the game.
8. Welcome to the MARCHing Bandsters group. I am scheduled for the 31st and it sounds like you are doing great. Keep up the good work. celeste

new at this....hi

<br /Welcome to the group. Tha negattive message that I think most of us has read doesn't seem to represent most of the people here. Did you know that there is a "group" for each month of banding on this site?? You can hopefully even find someone in your area or who was banded on the same day for support. If you scroll down the main forum page you can find each month, even age groups. If you go under members you can put in your zip code and find people in your area that are also on the site for additional support. Wishing you the best. Starting my new life March 31st and trying to stay as positive as possible.

new at this....hi

Welcome to the group. I am scheduled for surgery on March 31st. I too am abit nervous but excited at the same time. We have a support group at my doctors office, so be sure to check and see if your office does something like that also. Until yesterday I had only found positive on the site. I think that person has had a horrible experience but does not represent the vast majority of people here. I am staying positive and will do the best that I can. Wishing the same for you as you start your new life.
11. Just checking in to see how things are going. Wishing you the best.

12. I am sure that I will feel the same way in a few weeks. I am scheduled for March 31st. My son's birthday is the day I start my liquid diet. Try and be strong and remember we are all here for support.
13. Hi-I am March 312st also.

Tickerfactory.com is where I did my additon to my signature. After you create it, you copy and paste it to your home page. Under "Profile" there is a section "edit signature" you paste it there. Best of luck and let's try and stay intouch seeing asthough we are surg date buddies. Celeste

Calling all March Bansters

I am scheduled for March 31st . I have been trying to have one shake a day to get accustomed to a different way of eating. They are not all that bad. Have you tried any of the fruit blast ones? I like the tropical mango, something different than the usual chocolate or vanilla. I have also added different flavorings to the vanilla-like cherry or lime. Great for something different to drink. Also put some unflavored gelatin in and put in fridge-more like a mousse and I felt like I was eating something rather than drinking. My doctor said all of the substitions, changes are fine-Best of luck to all of the MARCHing Bandsters.

March 2011 Bandsters

I have to say this is a great place to be. When I feel I need a lift-I come here and find support and usually a smile or a laugh. Thanks to all of you for being here. Just can't wait till I get to go shopping for a new bathing suit this summer!!! I have been having one protien shake a day getting myself mentally prepared. going well so far, and the DH is drinking it along with me - I just have to love this guy.
17. Wendy, You made me smile while reading your accounting of your day. I was at the support group meeting Tues night and said that we had met on line and that you had your surgery earlier in the day. The support group was really nice and informative. Keep up the good work-looking forward to my day next month.
18. Hi everyone, I am involved in the group under pre-op discussions of March 2011 Bandsters but is anyone else out there scheduled for the 31st?? I am a firm believer in having a good support group-so lets get on the MARCHing BAND together.
19. Welcome to the MARCHing BANDSTERS Joleen!!

March 2011 Bandsters

March 2011 Bandsters

Picked up a new protein shake mix after trying a similar one at the Dr.'s office. It is delicious!!!! 4EVERFIT Fruit Blast the Ilsoslate TROPICAL MANGO. 24 grams protein, 1gram carb, 100 calories The vitamin shop has single serving sizes to try them out before you buy a big tub. Even my 8 year old liked it. Good conversation and alot of learning the other night at my support group meeting. If you need something "Chewy" you can make like jello jigglers with the SF Jello, and the Dr. even suggested putting unflavored gelatine into the shakes and refridgerating-makes them like a mousse or so he said. Haven't tried it yet but will let you know when I do. Does anyone know how to update your weight on the weight ticker?? I am down a pound and proud of it. TTYL Have a great day all!!

23. Hope your first days post op are going well.

So Frustrated!!!

I agree with the above. I had the same PMD for over 15 years-he just told me I was fat and to go on a 1000 calorie a day diet and loose weight. Woouldn't even run any tests. Guess what-CHANGED DOCTORS had tests run-I am anemic, have a non-functioning thyroid with a tumor on it, am borderline diabetic and have insufficient D3 and Vit C levels. Best thing I ever did was change doctors. My doctor is very supportive of my decision to have the lap band done-as long as I continue with the follow-up visits post-op. Find someone out there who will help you. Best of luck.

Waiting Approval

We have Blue Cross/Blue Shield WNY thru the county of Erie. It was less than a week for me. I did make sure that all their criteria were met prior to the Dr. sending in the authorization request. My PMD is wonderful and wrote a great letter also. Best of luck
