Okay im not sure im eating enough. I still feel quit bloated as i was banded on 2/15! Im having trouble with the gas ains for the first time today. Its all in my left shoulder and left boob. Im still not able to put down 64oz of liquid as i feel very full after drinking my slim fast at lunch and my Jello and Water in the morning! I had mashed potatos for the first time today (which was AMAZING) but have been full every since. Is something WRONG??? Also i was wondering if i can eat cream of wheat or Malto Meal. I also weighed myself at my grandmas today and HER scale said i was 228 from 243 on the 7th of feb. I wasnt weighed before my surgery for some odd reason so im not sure how much weight that was from pre op. I only had a week of pre dieting also as they schedule me within a week after my last visit with my surgeon. I know weightloss is good but am i on track like everyone else as far as loosing weight in the first 2 weeks?

Thank you all for responding! Im feeling a little better today. My doc told me that it was okay for me to eat jello. But it has me extreme full after just eating half of the cup. But today is my 3 day post op so im going to try a slim fast and see how that works. Hopefully i will be able to eat creamed soups soon. But im not rushing it!

I feel absolutely full on jello and water.. I eat half a jello then the other half later.. I doesnt seem like im getting alot in. Also i can only drink up to 32oz of fluids. I feel HUGE and bloated so i dont know if im getting enough fluids. This is only my 2nd day post op. Also ive been taking the pain meds every 4 hours bc i get uncomfortable if i dont! is anybody else having a hard time getting fluids in the first few days?

Wow our stories are so similar! I had a hernia that was taking out before surgery to. Well during surgery! I didnt even know i had one and they came out to my mom that it was there.. but everything went well.. YAY for BAND BUDDIES!!!!

Wow Congrats girl! Did you have to stay on the liquid diet for 2 weeks? If you dont mind sharing what are you issues your having? IF not its all good. I feel like im going to have to! I can barely drink fluids and eat jello! lol... I havent stepped on the scale. I think im going to stay away from it till i go see the doc in 2 weeks... Well im giong to try!

SO I MADE IT OUT OF SURGERY! Not in much pain only the second day tho! Lots of Water and jello! A twist to my surgery was i had a Hernia that was remove also which i didnt even know i had. But anyways i walked for 7 mins today to try to relieve the gas bubble. still having a litte trouble. Overall i feel pretty good. I have 5 incisions because of the hernia. Can't wait for the weight to start falling off. Any one loose a lot of weight on the liquid diet?

Thank you everyone! My surgery went very well! I was treated as an outpaient so i got home last night. Sorry i was exhausted and wasnt able to get on last night to update yall. Im not in any pain. I just have that gas bubble to work on buts really not that bad. Im sore but able to get up and move around. A litttle twist to my surgery was i had a HERNIA that she removed before she even started the procedure! I didnt even know i had one but i went in for the price of two lol and come out with lap band and a hernia!!! hahahahaha.. Aways everything went really smooth.. Good luck to all of you! and I hope for those that had lapband this week went well also!! thank you for all yalls support!!

Okay so im still up! Trying to keep my mind of surgery is not working. I have to go in at 8am and my surgery is at 10. Im not sure why but im scared to death now that i only have a few hours. I wasnt scared all day in fact i felt really good, till now! I have a 3 1/2 month old son and im scared i wont make it out!! Starting to second guess whether or not to cancel! UGH!!!! dont know what to do!! I hope i feel a little better in the morning..

Hey everyone, So i got good news the morning.. I'm being banded on the 15th!!! YAY!!! but i wasnt expecting that so soon. I need help with the food list. What am i supposed to eat!! I know i have a little guide that i was sent home with from the nutritionest but it definately doenst give me very many options. So if anyone would like to share what they had preop diet that would be great. Or if you can direct me to the forum that discuss this topic that would be great too. Im still very new to this site and havent really figured stuff out! Brayleigh

I"m also Tricare South! I had my PCM send in for the approval. Tricare approved it that day! Did my psych visit and my advocate recieved it by fax and the next she called me with the approval So they work pretty fast in the South Region i guess! Anyone in Texas getting it done?
