  1. I am glad to hear that they are moving forward.
  2. My Nut says 60, I tend to go for 80-90 though, I loose better when I am above the 60. Calories I am around 800 per day.
  3. Fingers crossed that the previous surgeries do exclude you from the sleeve.
  4. I have had the same thing happen. I think it is even more odd when I am at places that I used to order normal portions.

    Esophagus Spasm

There are meds that help with this. I was put on doxcipin. It helped overnight. It makes you very tired so take it at bedtime. My dr says this will stop over time. He gave me a 2 month script so I think I will start to,come off it soon.

    Feeling down an FAT

I am so sorry you have been under so much stress. So many of us here can relate to it, I know I can. Eating makes me feel better, but know I have to learn new things. Maybe go for a walk

    phase 5

How far out are you? I had some difficulty transitioning to solids. Step back to your phase 4, focus on trying to eat some real food in small amounts. Keep up on fluids and it will come.
  8. You won't feel hungry after surgery. I am 5 wks out and I have to remind myself to eat. It's great
  9. Cheese sticks, Greek yogurt, good quality lunch meat

    REGRETTING.....

Have they tried the patch for nausea? I had a lot of nausea while in the hospital, and that worked the best. Hopefully you start to feel better soon.

    Drinks

My dr ok's coffee in moderation. Also teas.
  13. Most dr I read say a stable weight for 12 months.
  14. I was 3 nights due to extreme nausea. Typically my dr discharges at 2 nights, I was more than ready to be discharged by the morning after my 3 night. In fact when he rounded at 7am, I got ready immediately and waited for my husband.

    Finally home

In my 3wks post op, you can get food stuck if you eat too fast, don't chew well enough. Basically I was told when that happens, you walk and walk some more. It does pass, but it is uncomfortable.

    Fiber One Protein Bars?

Love Quest bars. Lots of people find them to be more of a slider food. I haven't had any post op so I am hoping they are not a slider for me. I used them as meal replacements for me when on my preop diet.
  17. I totally get where you are coming from. I have been in a stall for a few days. It is cruel that we stall so early in the game but I know that if I keep working the plan it will start moving in the right direction.

Pumpkin Caramel Bake Soft foods, high protein

I can't wait to try this. Thank you
  19. I would wait til day 2 if possible. I was so out of it on matey first day. I went in around 730 am, didn't get to my room until 11am. Slept until 4p.
  20. You have to work on both body and mind. The restriction works best if you eat properly. Protein first. One can easily learn to eat around the sleeve by focusing on carbs and other low nutrient value foods.
  21. Does your sugeron's office do a seminar? If so bring them there. That might help them to learn about ut.
  22. Try and get up and go for a walk for 10 minutes today. Depression can take over your life so easily and it is important not to let. Even a little walk will help.

    Just Starting Out!

I was able to get everything done in under 2 months. My insurance did not have a supervised diet. I did have to see a Nut (nutritionist) and a psychologist. I scheduled my surgery at my first surgeon appt. That was about 8 weeks, it would have been sooner if he hadn't taken vacation at labor day.

    Pain when I eat

You may be having spasms. I had surgery on the 16th and am on doxcipin. It has helped a whole lot. My dr says it is common in sleeve patients and I may need to be on this med for a month or so but it will stop.
