Karen, I am going in to have fluid taken out of my band next week and for some X-rays. This should be the beginning of getting back on track! Thanks!

Yes, it's what I want because I feel really rotten. I need to be able to get enough nutrition and vitamins. You just need to give it time. When you are recovered from your surgery and it is time to fill you will feel a difference and you will love it! The band truly has been the best tool I have ever had but it also is now causing me issues. I'm sure when I am feeling better I will be happy I had it done again! Good luck!

I'm getting Fluid taken out next week after 2 1/2 years. I am always full...can only eat or take Vitamins but not both like I should. I had my last fill in June 2010 so I'm scared to go back! I feel so rotten from poor nutrition and low low energy I'm sure it will be well worth it! Terree

Hi, I would recommend not getting to many fills if they are not needed. I had my last fill in June 2010 and am still having issues eating. I thought it would loosen or deflate, it doesn't. Now I am having nutrition issues...low Iron, vit. B1 & 12 as well as others. I'm not sure if this is common but my energy is very low and my basic since of we'll being is not as positive as it should be. Has anyone else experienced these kinds of issues? Terree

OMG!!! maybe i wish i didn't just stick to this screen like glue reading all of this bad news...thought i would come on here and for sure some one would have the answer...damn! ok,tonight i just figured out that my hair is thinner in the front...my husband clued me in on the reason...my surgery!!! now i feel panic!!! tomorrow i WILL eat more protine and my doctors office recommends flaxseed oil and selenium...must get to the store to pick up my supliments...i'll be back to see how you all are doing with getting your hair back and to share my progress...good luck to all!!! :smile2:

Happy New Year! i was banded 8/7/09 and have lost 35lbs...though i am happy to have lost at all am looking forward to getting rid of much more...i have noticed a cramping feeling in the area of my port, any ideas of why or what might be the cause?

wow, that's great! it is so nice to hear some one with a positive fill experience...can't wait to get my fill, i'm sure it will help...i am pretty much able to eat anything i try...ok, maybe it is a little hard to eat dry food (toast) but everything else seems pretty easy to go down...to easy!

i want toast!!! is there a type of bread that is ok? maybe one that is made with oat flower or barley flower? i sure hope so, i love toast!

hello again to all...good to hear all of the good news...i'm still trucking along..i am eating regular now, not recommended untill week 6, but having no trouble just chew, chew, chewing...i get filled up quick and have no trouble eating anything...i too have trouble not drinking when eating but i try reall hard! my husband is my biggest supporter...i don't think i could have done it without him...i'm sure there will be ups and downs but he will be beside me the entire way! have a great day!

hello...i'm so excited to find this group of banders...my surgery was 8/7/09 and i have lost 15 lbs...i feel a little restriction and get full pretty quick...i'm nervous about my first fill 9/21...i have read some bad stuff on here and will hope for the best! thanks for being here so we all have a place to turn with people who fully understand.
