  4. Skinnymini - i had .2 last month and it has been good but so tight it is hard to eat when my band acts up. But back in the green so happy! Once i hit goal i will get some taken out. I miss my veggie burgers

    Steph - you may just lose at a slower rate. I am down 110 lbs and weigh 151 and now i have to work hard at it but the band has made it easier. I am a text book case. Good luck and keep in touch! K

    Stress & Lap Band

    Protein pudding : 1 pkg sugar free pudding 1/2 scoup protein 1 serving high Protein Drink instead of milk for box recipe. Just shy of the 2c required top with milk or Water Low fat & sugar about 100 cals for 1/2 c Love it! And fills me up! Great with ice cream too for a weekly treat.
  17. I weigh and measure all my food. I use an app on my phone. I eat 1200 cals and a high protein diet/low carb. I exercise 1-2 hrs/day. I bought some great lapband cookbooks on Amazon. Good luck!
  18. Men and women lose weight at different rates. I am 1 year out and have had many stalls. The key is to change it up food & exercise wise. I am in the green zone. I use to lose 2 lbs/ wk. Now that i am closer to goal i lose .5 lbs/wk. I eat 1200 cals and workout 1-2 hrs/day. I feel amazing! I am down 108 lbs and a size 8 from a 24. Keep your eye on the prize & celibrate the NSV's!   19. Great points all! My drs support a high protein diet. I cant eat a lot of true big carbs which is good. My band works like a dream. Atkins gives a bad wrap to a high protein diet. South Beach is more real. I eat a ton of spinanch and choose low fat protein. 1 year out and 108 lbs down and 15 lbs from goal. I feel amazing because of my health diet & exercise program. Good luck all! Keeping a food jounal is key too as i eat 1200 cals.
  20. Did you eat the chicken skin? Skin is on the no list. Some days i find meat hard. I have to eat tiny tiny bites and chew forever. Good luck.

    Why No More Protein Shakes?!

    I always choose solid protein like eggs if i can. But sometimes i cant in the morning so i have a shake for breakfast. Right now i am so tight and close to goal so i have shakes in the monring and by the afternoon i am n solid protein. I never go over 1200 cals.

    I have been in the same boat many times! Keep trying to get your protein in and stay hydrated. Choose protein puddings, oh yeah & supreme protein bars are softer. I also make protein pudding. Even puree your meat so that you get your cals you need to get though your day & to continue to lose weight. Good luck!
  24. I have been in the green zone for most of my banded time. I have never eaten less than 1200 cals. I exercise daily, and eat not more than 1/2 c - 1 c at a time i eat every 2-3 hours. If you feel unsatisfied and hungry between meals or close to when you eat you might need a mini fill. Also look at your food choices. I eat a high protein diet and pick food that keeps me full longer. Good luck! You are losing at the right rate. Keep up the great work!

My pudding i use sugar free pudding mix, instead of milk i use 1 30g Protein drink to replace most of the milk but top with milk (1/4 c), 1/2 scoup of Protein Powder to make it extra choclate & thick. I blend in the bender to fluff. I eat it on its own or with 1 scoup of ice cream. Yummy! Guilt free! Enjoy!
