    I'm here to help...

Hi beautiful banders! Thanks everyone for all the love & support! Right back at you! Had a great weekend getting lots done around the house with projects. Caught a movie with DH – The Adjustment Bureau. Great walk yesterday and today went for a dip in the pool and hot tub at the club. Big nap this afternoon and prepping for the week. Eva – I have a couple sips of coffee before breakfast. My scrambled egg is no problem. I have problem with hard boiled as they get stuck. I am going to try them again this week. Cheri – thanks for the info about hard boiled eggs so that explains a lot. They use to be my favourite pre-surgery L. Glad your concert went well but scary about you almost fainting! Take care of yourself. How about carry a small Protein bar in your pocket? Do you go for massage? I get neck and back pain so I go weekly or I am one bitchy chick with a migraine. Also just can’t do mini meatballs – stuck big time. I keep trying and eat slowly and no go. Funny as I eat hamburger no problem – go figure? I guess I can’t have it all. Laura – have a blast in Vegas! Everyone have a great week! I have a full one with lots of meeting and evening commitments. Is it the weekend yet? Cheers, Kristi

    Marriage Advice

I think you need to keep the communication flowing and sharing how you both feel. It takes a lot of work daily, never go to bed mad, give each other lots of daily hugs & kisses & book some date nights . Good luck & don't give up!
  4. You are to be focused on recovery not weight loss until this point.I too was banded on Feb 9th. I am down 30 lbs and going for my first fill on Wednesday, Mar 23. I am here to help in anyway. Cheers, Kristi

Good morning gorgeous banders! I have been watching the posts but been to busy to drop in. I send everyone big hugs! I had a crazy week. Some big emoitional stuff that resurfaced after I was supporting a staff member at work. Being in human resources I deal with some heart wrenching situations as I work on a indian reserve with one of my clients. Had a nice lunch yeterday with an old friend. I have booked a trip to my old boarding school for a reunion weekend with my BFF for April 30. Mexico is also 4 wks away . I get my first fill this wednesday. I can't wait as I am hungry all the time and eat every 2 hours. I worked out everyday and it was a slow week on the scale but I also had the monthly women things happening. I am sure next week will be better. My phone was in for servicing so I didn't have my electronic calorie counter. I have it back so I can track more accurately. Down 2.6 lbs but no inches for a toal of 30.6 lbs & 13.5 inches . DH & I have a great weekend ahead nice and quiet. We will go to a movie and get chores done around the house. I hope everone has a great weekend! Cheers, Kristi

I am from Vancouver, BC and was banded Feb 9th at False Creek Medical
  15. Hi gorgeous banders! Everyone is doing great! Keep up the great work! I am down 28 lbs since starting the pre-op diet and was banded Feb 9. I workout every day & carry food with me all the time so I make the right choices. I plan my meals all the time & dream up new recipes. My favourite night time snack is fat/sugar free chocolate pudding with a bit of Protein powder. Cottage cheese & fruit are my saviours during the day and Protein Bars for emergencies. The earthquake was horrific! We had a tsunami warning here in Vancouver. I was glued to the TV from I go for my first fill on March 23 & my clinic has also launched a WLS group so I am attended that too. I went to one local at one of the hospital and found it good. Everyone have a great weekend! Hugs, Kristi

Hi gorgeous banders! Indiogirl 55 – I agree with your post a 100%! That is what I am doing and I am down 33lbs since Jan 25 and I have only been banded since Feb 9/11. Laura – I hope you find your sweet spot. Phyl – excellent work on the weight loss! You must have made the right choices. The earthquake was horrific! We had a tsunami warning here in Vancouver. I was glued to the TV from 2am until going to work to make sure we were ok. I was ready to hit the road! Jewel – great job on your marks & the 5K run! The cruise – where are you cruising too? Have fun too with your motorcycle license! Laura – have a great date night! I need one of those & am planning one when my nephew & brother in-law leave! Sent my banded BFF and family off to Paris last night for 1.5 months. God I am going to miss them! How lucky are they! I would rather be in Paris. That stupid work thing! Have to work hard so I can pay off my surgery now! My nephew & brother-in-law are staying until Tuesday and we are having fun! My nephew is 9 yrs old and loves it here in Canada as they are from Shanghai. My brother-in-law moved to China 17 yrs ago and we hope they will move to Canada one day. They want to as the kids get older. Have a great day hanging with my DH and dinner out with friends. They bought a new house – love seeing new places. The rest of the weekend hanging with family and shopping for Canadian items for my nephew to take back with him. I go for my first fill on March 23 & my clinic has also launched a WLS group so I am attended that too. I went to one local at one of the hospital and found it good. Everyone have a great weekend! Hugs, Kristi

Hi beautiful banders! Cheri – I hope all is going well! That is great news about the pet scan! My hubby had a pet scan when he had cancer. The good news is he is cancer free as he was diagnosed at 33 yrs old. The chemo & radiation zapped the colon cancer and because of the pet scan we cancelled his surgery! Miracles do happen! Arlene – Happy birthday! I had a great day as I worked at home! Just had a great work out but now starving! Have a great evening all! Cheers, Kristi
