I have to add to your story of being too tight. I would purposely let my doctor get me too tight so that I could lose the weight faster, well it backfired because of all the vomiting I did caused the band to slip and I regained almost all my weight back. On Dec 10,2010 I had a band revision and my doctor actually put the newer band on this time ( I had my first surgery in 2005). I started in '05 at 257 pounds and got to 184 but now I am back up to 232. I really hate it now because I have to start back over again. I got my first fill in the new band on Jan 18, 2011 and am praying that I can get back down to where I was. I am panicking because I seem to be able to eat whatever I want still but have realized that I do actually get full quicker. So my advice to anyone out there who has signs of being too tight ( heartburn, frequent vomiting, or feeling like the food is stuck) is to go get it loosened. If you feel like there is something that you cannot eat then you are probably too tight. It is not only an emotional let down but also a big financial burden to have to do it all over again. Please pay attention to the signs of being too tight and don't wait for it to just go away. We shall see how my journey goes from here.
