All of a sudden I've lost 2 friends I added in past few days (one being in the past 24 hrs), and all the forums seem to have gone back a few days. This all happening after another had posted that all of Fridays posts were MIA....is this normal for this website?

I believe I have read somewhere in the forums before that a post op symptom that is common is the sunburn feeling of your skin. I have had this feeling now in my lower left abdominal area near and below my belly button and over by what I believe is the port site. I was wondering if someone can comfirm that this is normal and nothing to call my doc over and if it is...how much longer will i feel it. It's a lil nerve racking and since the muscle ache/pain has started to deminish quite a bit I was hoping this sensitive sunburn feeling would as well....

you poor thing! I hope Monday you give that office a piece of your mind. You put faith in this doctor and they need to show more concern for you. I say you talk to you dr monday and tell him your complaints, if they go unheard is there away you can seek a new doctor for your after care? Also if things get too bad you need to get help before monday is the hospital an option for you? I hope things get better =(

after losing a pound a day since a few days after surgery...today I didnt lose. Its all good by me since im down 13lbs in 12 days. Need a day of no loss im sure lol

This sounds more like what I was talking about. Its not near my incisions and actual those are almost all healed up and look good. Its like you described and about 2-3in away from my incesions. It started about 4 days ago and it doesnt hurt but is just really annoying and irritating. I was thinking maybe i needed lotion. I'll try baby oil. Thank you If it doesnt go away in a cpl days I will call the doc up =) -

I posted this 2 days ago (approx) and now I show I have never posted anything so I will try this again. I believe I have seen somewhere in these forums someone mention the sunburn feeling after post op. I was wondering if anyone else has felt this before and for how long after surgery. I am 11 days post op and the area of my lower abdomin and up to my belly button area on the side of the port my skin feels like its sunburned. Its sensitive to the touch of my shirt even. I was wondering if anyone else has felt this and if so for how long? Thanks for any kind of ideas or confirmation that my body isnt crazy lol -
Yea last week it was reset by a few days and anything in that time frame was lost and now today I log in to see if anyone replied to a question I posted and I show I have never posted in any forum =( It's frustrating but I hear/read its server problems.

Congrats on your loss and new found out look towards food. Sounds like you are strong and in for the long haul! Good for you! I dream of the day I can eat eggs haha not too much longer for me and I too am loving this new found "eat a pudding and im content for 3 hrs". I'm 11 days post-op. I wish I liked protein drinks...so far everything I try I really do not care for. Tomorrow Im picking up so Slim Fast Protein drinks, I hear good things about them. Im feeling the lack of protein tonight. Keeep on rockin that band you are doing awesome =)

Im sticking to this pre-op diet better then I thought but the protein and me arent seeing eye to eye...

Wow. Im scared to stray from the liquids. I heard so many stories about the band vs. owner and the band winning lol. Oh have I thought and tried to justify. Only thing stoping me, i paid outta pocket...not to screw this up plus...one day hopefully I will be able to eat a very small bits of my favorites as treats. =) Glad you are doing well tho other then you band kickin your butt one time =)

Gotta a question. I tried to find a thread on it and didnt find one... I see all the different sizes of bands. What is taken in consideration for the size of the band that is used? I didnt discuss it with my Dr....I know the brand and was happy with that. I never thought much on it until I have seen others mention how big their band is and I realized mine is small in comparison. Just curious why the different sizes and what is taken into consideration for your size band....

OMG This is hilarious you posted this because I was just telling a friend of mine last night that I am still wrapping my head around the fact I have a band in my stomach and so I feel if I name it then I will feel like we can then move forward in our bonding expeirence! I just cant think of a name for mine. I feel its a female tho...

Im probably not fair game here since im in my 1st week of banded. However I was a good girl and never strayed from my post op diet so I wanna put my lose in here I know Im a day late so I will put yesterdays weight in not todays Mondays weight = a -9.2 loss. SO STOKED! -
One week since surgery... -8.2 lbs So proud of myself for not straying from the post op diet!

Food progression after surgery

Mine was/is: Day of surgery only water. Day 1 - Day 4 = Liquid diet (clear liquids and jello) Day 5 - Day 19 = Full liquids (pudding, tomato soup, cream of wheat soupy, etc) Day 19 - Day 29 = Mushy food Day 30 - on = new adventure in healthy choices -
I love the easy navagating of this site and love the people but this is getting frustrated and makes me want to find another site. =(

Im on day 4 post op and I woke up in a lot of pain this morning. The pain is where the port is not my incisions. I am thinking its from doing too much yesterday but I honestly didnt think one load of laundry and doing two loads of dishes was too much. I did laugh a lot yesterday which caused discomfort at the time. Has anyone else had this much burn sensasion this many days after surgery after so little? I feel like I went a mile backwards and now im all emotional =(

Haha I talk to my stomache when it growls. One time I was drinking my broth and it growled really loud. I looked down at my stomach and said aloud "No, you can not complain! You get you what get and you dont throw a fit" haha It's what I tell my kids when they whine.
