My nerves are raw.... Still awaiting insurance approval and I have a surgery date of Feb. 9... Supposed to start 2 wk liquid diet in 2 days and have anesthesia consult in a week....I want and need this sooo bad....BCBS is gonna make be crazy yet. I've been reading a lot of post on here and I'm grateful there is support out there... But I think I'm reading too much..... I can't seem to focus on anything but this surgery now and it's keeping me from sleeping too!!!! Arrrggghhh... Calgon, TAKE ME AWAY!!!!

I won't be able to fund it without insurance.... So I'm praying they come through for me!

If I could kick my fat ass I would.... But dangit.... My flipping legs r too short!!!! After this surgery I'm in!!!

My mom will drive me nuts too.... I guess I would feel bad if I didn't tell her though... On the other hand, I am 42 and am a big girl now... As far as the concerns of "socializing"..... I know I will have issues... We like to have a few "social" drinks on the weekends.... I know a lot of questions will be asked why I'm not drinking a beer...! My surg. date is 2-9..... So just a day b4 u guys.... I say bring it!!! Little worried about super bowl Sunday though.... I will be on my liquid diet and my Packers r playing!!! Guess I will have to save my calories for some of my "favorite" liquids!!

Hi Rick.....im waiting too..for approval.....but my date is set for feb. 9.....so if I dont hear from them soon I wont know if I need to start my preop liquids....and I want to be able to let work know when I will be off....its driving me mad! I'll hang in there with you!

Patti... I just registered here yest. too..... It's a pretty cool blog or whatever they call it..... I have a date of 2-9-11 pending INS....ugggg.... But I can guarantee I will be scared to death when I do get approved!! Keep in touch and good luck!!

How tough was the approval process???? I have bcbs too... Still waiting...

I am scheduled for feb. 9th pending insurance approval....scared about the whole process and will be devastated if not approved.... 5'3 312# isn't working for me...went through the 6 months required for approval but didn't lose..and honestly didn't try too hard because everytime there is a loss, there is another gain .... I am a wife, a mom, a nurse, a soccer coach, and middle school girls basketball coach....and I can't wait to be able to participate in all my jobs better....
