I agree with fluffy-to-fab that finding a new doctor/practice might be a first step. Perhaps that office isn't doing the fills/unfills in the most beneficial way for you.Plus finding a doctor who is compassionate and caring would be a help for you in this situation; for anyone in all situations! I am pre-op so I can only imagine what you are going through. I hope and pray for you that things get better for you. I also agree with fluffy-to-fab that talking to the insurance company would be a good idea. I am sorry for your feelings of frustration; I know they must be hard to take.

Newbie. Wondering about hair loss and saggy skin.

Here is how I figured out how to do a weight loss ticker. I used this website address: http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php?type=3 as for hair loss and saggy skin topic, I too am concerned as I am 45 years old female with thinning hair up top and already I can imagine what my lower belly will look like if I do get the banding and have rapid weight loss. My only concern is how it will look around my neck/chin, the belly part doesn't bother me since it's covered by clothes. I pray it turns out well, I am almost sure I am getting the lap if I get all my doctors' clearances. My health problems are almost surely going to improve, so that is what I am concentrating on. Good Luck to you! -

Hi all- My name is karen and I have been overweight my whole life. My current BMI is 37-38, but I have co-morbid conditions such as high blood pressure, sleep apnea. I am determined to lose the weight and want to use a band to help myself achieve my goal. I want to be close to a normal BMI or even be at a normal. It would mean slimming down from 246 to 165. I already started to use the diet my doctor's office gave me (lotsa Protein, low low carbs, low fat, low calorie in general). My doctor is in Middletown NY at Tri State Bariatrics and his name is Dr. Peter Kwon. I get to meet him in two weeks (so far I went to the seminar, dietitian, nurse practitioner, bariatric nurse, and insurance specialist. I am very impressed with this practice; I have confidence they can help me help myself. I would be interested in getting to know people here at the forum- pre-op and post-op alike. If anyone has used Tri-State Bariatrics in my area please reply or message me. I would like to hear a bit about your experiences, as well as anyone's experience with getting ready for or having the band. I hope to make new friends here and that I will find time to post and reply. (Sometimes it takes me awhile to reply since my internet time is sporadic). Glad to be here and glad to be taking a pro-active role in my health care and concerns. if anyone wants to chat with me at yahoo messenger my ID is kheilker. just mention banding and we can talk! I also have facebook under Karen Roberta Heilker.
