I'm so glad I saw this post! my dr did not make me quit smoking but I have promised my fiance I would get after my surgery. Well I had surgery feb 2nd and we started chantix feb 14th. I'm not sure how its working. I honestly think trying to go thru this change of diet and eating habits and also giving up smoking all together is harder than I thought. I just hope things get better!

Mine is actually to my right side below my boob right under where my bra sits hmm weird. If u looking straight at me its to ur left but my right.

I can't wait to lose my belly! I look prego! I've lost weight in my thighs and my fiancee has noticed that. He says he can actually grab them now! So now I just look like a normal pregnant person and I'm not even pregnant! My arms and legs are a lot smaller than my stomache and I'm short and I walk like a duck alrdy so everyone prolly thinks I'm prego and my water is abt to break ugh lol

So I'm 2 wks post op today and have been engaged for over a yr now and I had to walk away tonight and stay with my parents. I feel as if my fiance wants me to baby him like his mom does since he is an only child. Since surgery our relationship is a disaster we argue every day and almost every time he brings up if I would of just kept my mouth shut for the past few yrs I never would of needed WLS. That hurts so bad. Its not like any of us wanted to be like this. I just don't know what to do. ugh oh and to top it off I go back to work tomorrow and when I packed some things and left our house he didn't even call or text me he didn't even get out of bed when I walked out the door. fml

I will be 2 wks post op this wed and would like to know how soon can u take a nice hot bath instead of a shower?

I'm 21 yr old female been banded for 2 wks and I'm from murfreesboro tn I work for verizon and I'm looking for someone whose fun and outgoing and doesn't worry abt stupid stuff all the time. I want someone who likes me for me and someone who isn't going to put me down all the time. Is that to much to ask for?

I called this apt my pre surgery consultation!!! I spent half the day there getting blood drawn testing my heart and meeting with the dr and then meeting with a nutrionist then I was told to start my pre op diet the next day cuz surgery was in 2 wks!!! Goodluck! Its rly easy day just a lot of meeting dif ppl and learning some things!

Do what u think is right for u. I agree with everyone else on here and I pretty much told the ppl who tried talkin me out of doing the surgery is I don't care what they think because its not about them its about me and only me!!!!! Now a bunch of ppl on here say the only thing they regret is not doing the surgery earlier in life well I'm so glad I have done the surgery now at only being 21 yrs old!!!! So far I have no regrets!!!! I got to go shopping today and I'm only 2 wks post op and before surgery I wore a size 16 or 17 in pants and today I am wearing a size 13!!! Only 2 wks of dropping to a size 13 I'm so excited!!! Good luck and I know ur gonna be fine and one day soon your gonna look back and realize how much it was worth it to do it. Specially when your son graduates high school and u get to watch him walk across that stage and when he gets married and has babies of his own and ur there to experience it all!!!!

I love reading post like these!!! Today I'm 2 wks post op and I alrdy had to buy a couple pairs of jeans I can wear to work I was a size 16 now I'm a 13 alrdy! Yay!!!!

Well first off how long since ur surgery? Each doctor has different time frames of when to progress to dif foods. Day 5 post op I was allowed to start eating whatever I wanted low carb wise. Hope that helps

Well ur post showed twice so I commented on the other one. But my big incision hurts cuz that's where my port is. Specially when I bend twist or turn certain ways

I had pain at my big incision too and I'm almost 2 wks post op and I still have it sometimes. Mine is cuz of my port. My port is located right beside it so when I turn or twist a certain way I get the sharp pain. It seems like it comes from that big incision but its rly my port beside it. Idk if ur twisting turning or bending when it happens but that's wat mine does. As soon as I straighten back out the pain goes away right away.

Can u even eat anything from sonic?

So I'm 10 days post op and one of my incisions the glue came off and I looked at the incisions and could see a tiny hole at the top of it and I abt lost it. It was horrible my fiance had to get me a cold rag because I just knew I was abt to pass out and get sick. All I kept thinking was omg I can't get sick I can't get sick if I do wat if my band slips! Ugh that was horrible. If I saw anyone else I would be fine but when it comes to myself that was bad. I can take getting shots all day but when it comes to taking my blood or seeing something like my incision no thanks!!! Now is it okay to put neasporin or however u spell it on that spot now?

Birdgirl I will have to look into that I'm prolly a person who has that I can handle needles and shots but when I gave blood to redcross a couple yrs ago the site of how much blood they were taking out of me made me pass out and get sick and every time I get blood drawn I have to make sure not to look and to drink juice while they do it cuz I get rly hot and sweaty and freak out. I can watch blood or anything else on anyone but myself. My incision is doing great I called they said just keep it clean and I can use neasporion. My incision only freaked me out cuz like stateofzen said it was open alittle bit on the edge and I could see that which made me freak out and get all hot and crud. Thanks for everyones advice can't wait til next Monday I get my first fill!

I just want to say I'm on my pre op diet and I have discovered if you mix beef broth with vegetable broth it taste like vegetable beef soup and then I also found mushroom broth in the organic section I put that with chicken broth its excellent!!!!

Okay so idk why but my dr post op diet is dif he allows patients to start eating mushies on 3rd day post op then regular food 5th day. My question is I did that and of course I feel like I can still eat as much as I did before. Is that bandster hell???? Or is something wrong. I do know that when I eat alittle to much my left side starts to hurt is that normal or is something wrong?

Oh ya I mean I'm doing the low carb diet he says to eat meat and green veggies so that's wat I do. Mostly chicken or turkey. And I drink water with crystal light or tea with splenda and I still do some of my sugar free popsicles if I feel like eating something sweet. I just wanted to make sure all this was normal. Thanks for the advise!
