  1. Listen to the doc. My doc only has his patient on liquids two days

then sofy food two days then back to regular protian foods. he says he want our 60-80 grams of Protein to be an actual food. He says its important to train our bodies for our new lifestyle. I was happy about it because after that pre opt diet i was so tried of Protein shakes sugar free popsicles and Jello. i havnt had a protein shake since 3 days post opt and i'm never turning back.

  2. I just talk to my surgeon today about this exact thing. Ive been on and off my diet for the last 5 days. I asked my doctor if i needed to reschedule. Without him asking me what id eaten he said i should be fine. The doctor told me if i cant stick with the diet just mae sue I eat the least amount of carbs as possible. I do know the pre opt diet is based om your bmi, My is pretty high 50 something. Just talked to your doctor directly and see what he says.

  3. I have a date for April 5th for surgery. It is a new program at our hospital, two surgeons will be there one with much experience! The first 5 patients are employees of the hospital like me. The only stumbling block is BCBS of Tennessee. They keep on finding new issues with the whole deal! So pray for me that it really does happen asap. I've been waiting forever it seems. To those who don't plan to go through insurance, and do self pay........I was told by the insurance case manager that if you do self pay insurance will not cover complications. That is scary. Kelley

Where in tennessee are you having your surgery done?

  4. How many weeks did you take off from work. The doctors and nurses say I should be fine in a week how was your expereince, I'm totally thinking I should take 2-3 weeks off from work. The last thing I want to do is be at work uncomfortable. I had a laparoscopic surgery befor for a cyst in my ovary. I had 2 weeks off and needed that full 2 weeks. I kinda have a low tolerence for pain :)

  5. This is the post Ive been looking for thanks. I havn't been banded yet but I don't plan on telling alot of people, especially co workers. I work in a call center and we all know how that goes. Anyway so far Ive told just my immediately family(mother brother and aunt and 3 close friends) 2 out of the 6 think its a good ideal my auntie had no comment and the other 2 are completely against it. Going forward I will tell no one else which is really had because its something I want to openly talk about, but now that I 've this forum I can talk to you guys :). In the meantime If I'm banded I guess I have to make up some lie. I've already joined a gym and last week started eating better so some people will already see my efforts.

  6. Hi all. I'm new to this forum. I'm in the begining stages of the approval process. I have extreme worries about Hair loss and some worries about saggy skin. I'vr heard Protein protein protein but its seem even the people talking protein are experiencing major hair loss. Can anyone eveyone please help me with their stores and what they did. I have pcos so I've already experience hair thinning so I dont want the LAPBAND SURGERY to completely make me bald. If needed I'm african american 30yrs old starting weight 320. Also how do I start my WEIGHT LOSS TICKER?
