I just got banded yesterday and am home with a toddler who is almost 2 yrs. old. The good news is she requires me to constantly be on the move, which is good for recovery. The bad news is the constant movement is causing me more pain. I have always been a very active/daring person. My weight has prevented me from doing many of the things I used to do like sky dive, scuba dive, bungy jump, horseback ride, roller coasters, etc. I hope the surgery can help me regain my life. The turning point for me was having a baby. It saddens me that she barely fits on my lap because my belly gets in the way. I also have difficulty with getting up and sitting on the floor...constant up/down. Losing weight will allieviate the pain and allow me to interact my with my child.
