  1. Hey Keia, I had this same issue too. Actually, every one in a while, I still get this when I eat. If you're shoulders hurt, specifically your left shoulder under the shoulder blade, it's more than likely just gas. This happens a lot in the begining but like I said, I sometimes still have issues with it. Walk. That's the only think I have found that get's rid of the pressure on my shoulders. Walk until you feel better. You probably didn't over eat or eat too fast, it just happens sometimes. There's times when I only eat 4 oz. of chicken and have some broth and I still get the shoulder pain. I wish someone would have told me I would still have this type of pressure months after the surgery. I only expected it right after, not on going. Good luck!

    Problems after fill

Hi Michael, From what I understand, if you are having reflux and not sleeping well because of it, you should see if they can take some of the saline out. They don't have to take all of it out, but something to make you more comforatable. I my last visit to get filled, the doctor wanted to progress my weightloss but not fill to much, so she said, "If you are starting to eat around the band, we need to take some .CCs out." So if you're eating Soup because you can't keep food down, regardless if it's due to reflux, you should probably see your doctor. It won't hurt to at least call and get their opinion either. Besides, you need a good nights sleep and if you're working out, you need solid food. Hope this helps a little.
  3. Hi everyone! My name is Elisha and I live in the Dallas area. I was banded by Dr. Benivedes at True Results on October, 6 of last year. So far I'm down 21 lbs. Yeah, for losing any amount of weight in years! However, I feel I've wasted a bit of time since I have only lost 1 lb. in the past 2 months. I do realize this is my own fault. I haven't been sticking to my recommended diet or workout plan. Plus my love for girls night has been a road block too. It's been more of a head game with me, than an actual eating thing. I do feel the restriction in the amount I can eat. However, my mind tells me that since I'm only eating a small amount, I can eat what I want. I think I've finally figured out in my head this isn't the case. I knew going into this surgery that the band is a tool, not the solution. My eating habits are still the solution, but now I have a tool to help me control it. I've joined this site because I need the extra support to help remind me of what I can accomplish but how I still have to work hard to do it. I need to read the success stories and realize that I have a goal and that I've gone to extreme measures to make sure I get there. I also need to have a place I go where I can realize I'm not the only one with these issues and ideas. It's hard not having anyone I know to go to and ask for advice. With that said, I look forward to participating in discussions and reading about others working toward their own goals. Thanks!

    So disappointed in myself

You are the exact reason I joined a site like this. I needed to know there were other people feeling the same way I am. I too can't believe I've come all this way, done all of this work and still feel like I have failed over the past 2 months. However, I took a different mind set starting yesterday. Like you, I'm going to push myself, I'm going to eat correctly and workout. I don't see myself doing the liquid diet, I have a really hard time forcing myself to resist foods and find that the aftermath of me doing that usually ends up in poor eating decisions. Also, you don't need a gym to work out. Do a work out tape, we have a Wii so it's fun and a workout at the same time. Get resistance bands, my friend is a trainer and she prefers using those with her female clients over free weights. (Also, once I get back to a full workout, she said she can create an entire routine outside of the gym so I don't have to pay for a membership anymore.) I'm sure you can research a workout that doesn't require any gym time. Thank you for posting. You can do it, you've gone this far, you know you have the strength to!
